Hey,

Do you guys use brake cleaner when replacing your front brake pads? It's super safe right? Do you spray onto the car, or do you spray onto a towel and wipe it around the brake parts?


I am going to strictly follow this video, and the service instructions i found online.

I recently changed my pads and didnt use a brake cleaner... However, I did wipe everything out just to remove excess dirt with a rag. I lubed up all the pads contact points where it would be sliding and I used "DiscBrake Quiet" on the back of the pads to make sure I dont get any squealing. So far so good.

 

2nd gen TSX and this TL have the same procedures to change the brake pads?

yea, it's the same. TSX and TL. at least from what i could find. not sure about the 2009+ TLs, though.
