Need help replacing wheel lug stud

I recently cracked one for my lug studs

Here is a picture of the rotor removed

Tried to bang the stud out but I got stuck right here. Anyone know how I could remove it to replace it with a new one?

Yes I used this exact thread I used to refer to. Unfortunately the hub isn't the same.

He was able to freely bang out the stud as pictured here:

I banged away but I'm stuck right here:

Man, that's a drag... if you need a quick answer I'd suggest forking over the $10 and getting 3-day access to the service manual online:

Warning dumb comment*

Can't you just saw it on both sides then drill the core til it shatters? I mean its already broken...might as well break it fully

normally only $2 or 3 or so at the dealer

as far as getting it out, OP have you looked all the way around the hub for a little notch, for the studs to come out easily; icause i don't know so much if you wanna pull the hub out, good chance of screwing the bearing, if it is a pressed fir bearing

Right, there is either a notch somewhere around the hub or you will have to remove the wheel mounting hub.

What did you do to get the lug out?

I have the same problem and do not want to deal with the bearing issue. I was considering grinding down the lug head on the new one and using a Dremel tool to cut down the the bolt that is on the hub already. Cutting the one already on the car will be a bear, but the alternative is something that is beyond my capabilities.

Does anyone else have a better idea?

Sorry for the typo before. It worked. We did not have to mess with the bearings.

2g tsx Front Wheel Stud Replacement SOS

Hey guys, I tried looking for help through the forums but all the links did not work. I have a couple stripped wheel studs on the front passenger side that I'm trying to replace, but there is not enough room to bang them out. Does anybody have suggestions for replacing them without removing the hub???

Saber saw to cut the head and tail (if needed). Grind enough of head on one side to allow insertion from rear (some force req'd). See youtube for videos on your car (Accord, TSX, CRV, TL, etc)

good luck
