Little rattle somewhere inside the car

Hi all,

My car is just about 2 weeks old and since about the 3rd day i have noticed a little rattling sound coming from somehwere around the drivers side A-Pillar in the car. I really cant put my finger on where exactly it is. Happens when there is some road vibration (little bumps). I have tired holding the A-Pillar when driving, the headliner, the dash and it still occurs. It also seems to happen more when the inside of the car is warm (live in NJ and it was about 40 today with the inside temp at 72.)

Has anyone experienced this? Dont want to take it in for service just yet about it, trying to hold off until the 1st oil change but its starting to annoy me.

Check if the rattle is originating from the steering wheel. Try holding the top left side of the airbag/horn assembly and see the rattle goes away. You can also try stuffing temporarily some foam in the gap between the airbag/horn and the rest of the steering wheel (at the top of the wheel when it is straight).

I think i have located the problem. The dealer installed remote start sensor is installed next to the rearview mirror and the wire is routed from there to the drivers side a-pillar. i believe the wire is rubbing the windshield and making the noise. I see when the wire is routed. Im going to need to put some foam or something between the wire the the glass to stop the rub/ tapping noise.

if its not that i have no idea what it would be.

That might be my problem too. I had a remote starter installed and I have this nasty rattle in the A-pillar. I'll have to check it out.
