Question Key Broken from the Actual Key Fob

Hi! My name is Pamela. I have a 2011 Acura TSX. My key broke off from the actual key fob. I can put the key into the ignition. The engine will crank for a few seconds and then will go dead. Do you think that the engine is cranking for a few seconds and going dead because of the key fob not being attached? Or could it be the fuel pump or something else? Thank you for your time!!!

The fob needs to be by the ignition switch to keep the engine running. Buy this and swap over the internals > https://www.ebay.com/itm/273689817871

in the short term you can simply hold the key fob near the key to get past the immobilizer. the green key symbol should not flash if done correctly.
