Got Hit, need help with damage assessment

Got hit while the car was parked. It was 90 degree back in parking spot. I guess someone backed in at 45 degree. Any one knows a good estimate of how much this would cost out of pocket? I dont want to deal with insurance company because of the hassel and the $1000 deductible.

If you want it done properly, it will cost more than $1,000.00. I had a similar collision on the front end. The entire bumper shell needs to be removed, plus at least the quarter panel. You might as well make an insurance claim. Good luck.

Yea, i got some estimates from few reputable body shops, its around $1000 to fix it, or $2000 to replace the quarter panel. Here are the pro and cons. To fix it, it might not come out to be perfect because there are 3 body lines in that panel. To replace, they would have to cut the panel and weld in a new quarter panel.

If you make a claim be sure it won't affect your insurance rates.
