Emission Light

Hey guys, we have a 2013 acura tsx 2.4l.
116k miles
p0172 code
bank 1 too lean/too rich
Im thinking o2 sensor?
it was never changed and might want to do a tune up also, never did that also
Thoughts?

Hows your gas mileage?

If you have a volt meter you can check to see if the o2 is working correctly. While the vehicle is running you should see the voltage fluctuating giving the ECU the proper measurements. If the voltage stays steady then you most likely have an issue. Otherwise, we are just guessing and throwing money at the problem.

Gas mileage is fine not a big difference.
Just to add, when i stop at a light or traffic the idle would bounce up a bit here and there. It also gets rough sometimes also

Spark plugs are recommended to be replaced at 100k, has that been done? Maybe a bad plug? It's an easy and relatively cheap item you can do yourself

yes doing that soon i dotn believe it was ever changed.. waited too long

Here's what happend to me and may not be exactly what is happening at idle to you:
I changed my thermostat and thought that I had bled all of the air out.
When Idling, my tach would not stay steady. Instead, it would move between 800 rpm and 1500 rpm.
I bought a Lilse funnel

and was able to get the air out and my idle became solid at 800 rpm.
