Condensation in Headlights

My car was dirty so I took it to one of those high pressure no touch car washes. Now I notice that both of my headlights have water condensation inside the headlight.

I have read that a solution to get rid of the condensation is to remove them from the car and place them in a oven to bake. Is there an easier way to remove the condensation?

Could also try a heat gun if you're careful to melt/reseal .. but I would double check and make sure that's your true culprit and not a crack somewhere else.

remove your drl bulbs while parked in sun all day to help speed up the process

or even a blo drier on low would go even faster.

The baking method is usually done during headlight retrofits and people will put silica packets in to help with the condensation. Take off the bulbs as suggested and just park in the sun, it will go away on its own. Be careful with heatgun on the lens as you may burn/melt it.. (been there, done that trying to get condensation out..)

Words of advice, if you bake your headlamps in an oven you risk burning off the oem protection = they'll yellow sooner.

Thanks guys for the advice. Yeah it's been hot in Houston. I park the car out in the sun all day while at work. When I get to my car @ 5pm the temp reads 101 degrees but I still have condensation in both headlights. Maybe I need to remove the DRL's to speed up the evaporation.

Are you talking condensation or actual water droplets? If it is actual water AND your car is under warranty AND you have no headlight mods then go to the dealer.

If it is "only" condensation, then drive around for a half hour with your lights and high beams on to dry it up.

Headlights look foggy like a bathroom mirror after a shower. The whole headlight was affected but after a week of 100 degrees days , it is looks better. Only some condensation on the top of the headlights now. Btw, my TSX is 7 years old so no warranty.

Off topic question. I was planning to lightly buff and polish my headlights to make them look brighter/ clearer. Would that also remove the OEM protection?
