Hey guys,

Before i begin...No i havent filled up recently and yes i re-tightened the gas cap a couple days ago and the light still hasnt gone away..just wondering what it could be? taking it to the dealer in a few days. Anyone else having this issue with the 09 tsx? I do have an injen CAI in it..i doubt this could be the cause as i have had 2 previous cars all with CAI in them and never had an issue..I had an 06 tl 6 speed with a CAI in it for 3 years and never had any problems...

Check Emission System = Back to dealer
If it was the gas cap it would tell you to tighten the gas cap. It could be your O2 sensor.

 

Did your check engine light come on as well?

 

yes..

 

after getting fuel at a NJ gas station they did not tighten the gas cap. First the tighten gas cap message appeared. After I tightened the gas cap the check emissions message showed up. The dealer checked it out, found nothing wrong so reset the message. no messages since then

 

Check engine light won't come on with a loose gas cap, though you will get the emissions system warning. You'll definitely want to head to the dealer to get this checked out just to play it safe.
