Brakes sound like garbage

My car now sounds like I have a metal shop in my trunk lol...The grinding noises coming from either under the car or the rear wheels is at the point of embarrassment. Pads are still nowhere near needing replacement..what is going on here??? Anyone else have this issue?

Add me the "annoyed" list on this one as well. It started at about 3,000 on the odometer and has been more frequent ever since. My oil life is at 40% now so I will add this to the list of things to look at when it goes in.

Started at 1000 miles for me got it fixed, started again at 5000 miles got it fixed, started at 10000 miles resurfaced, came up again at 16000 miles resurfaced again.. and now its back at 26000 miles but they won't cover it under warranty any longer, so I'd recommend tellin them to replace your rotars if they say they're goin to resurface them, because it will NOT fix it

Ya'll are better off going aftermarket than dealing with these brakes. Honda's brakes have been bad for a long time now and it just isn't worth it to keep going back and getting them "fixed" for a few thousand miles. I don't know why they won't put some different brakes on, but whatever, it's been like this forever with a lot of Honda and Acura models.

Yes, some people's brakes are fine, but I have seen a TON of complaints on the TSX side, as well as other models. The current gen Accords have a lot of brake issues as well. So in general, if anyone is having problems with them, I recommend going aftermarket instead of fooling with OEMs. Just isn't worth it.

I changed my 1G's brakes around 30k and haven't had a problem since (now at 56k miles).

I can't believe I'm the only one clamoring for a big brother hand-me-down from the Brembo's on the TL's.

yeaaa im having almost the same problem. i dont know what it is.. but like everytime i drive.. i get this rattle noise, and this metal grinding noise from my car when im driving, and when i press the brakes to stop, the sound on the brakes gets really really loud and fades, and when i let go and press the gas, it resumes its usual metal scratching, grinding, shaking, noise.

any1 know wth is up? is it bad for my car? and btw its HECKA annoying... :[

that my friend is the brake pads that need to be replaced....at first i though my car was falling apart..turns out the brake pads have this feature to them that when they need to be replaced they give off this noise..its actually a good idea. when your brakes go bad, this noise starts, but doesnt damage the rotors...just had my rear pads replaced last week and noise is gone

im just curious, what kinda mileage do you have on your car if you already replaced the rear pads?

i replaced the rear ones at 25k..i was told that the sizing of the pads is so that they wear at even rates but i guess that wasnt the case...anyway.. i replaced the rear pads and poof no more grinding
