brake disc scraping noise?

so i was driving one night and all of a sudden i heard this really loud scratchy noise! I thought I was dragging a piece of metal or something, or a under panel came out from my car or something. but i checked and everything was fine...I called my friend and he said there might be a rock or something stuck there? i put my car in reverse and put it in drive again, and the noise is gone. anyone experienced this and should i be worried about this? should i go check it out at the dealers or i should be fine? thanks!

Assuming it's not your rear brakes wear out prematurely (remember your car has very low mileage), then it's probably small rock get caught around the caliper and when you stop/reverse it jarred loose and noise disappeared.

Check the wear on your brake pads to be on the safe side.

Sometimes when they get really wet, this will happen for a few times. Not sure how reversing would fix my thought but just my two cents. Did you recently wash your wheels or did it rain a lot?

Just a thought.

Brakes on these cars where designed in China by a 7 year olds that work on the assembly line at the real brake manufacturer (Acura logo, ha ha ha). This is the new way of the world, out source the brain's not just jobs of the richer countries.
