Bluetooth Phone

Does anyone have the problem where sometimes the Bluetooth makes ur iPhone turn off or every few months it would not remember my phone and I have to pair my phone again to the car?

Service Bulletin B12-021

There is a technical service bulletin for the Handsfreelink unpairing phones and deleting contacts. I just got my HFL replaced today, luckily the dealer was good enough to honour a Acura USA Technical Service Bulletin.

Technical Service Bulletin# B12-021

Applies To: 2011 TSX – ALL
2012 TSX L4 – JH4CU2...CC000001 thru JH4CU2...CC009569
2012 TSX V6 – JH4CU4...CC000001 thru JH4CU4...CC000112
2012 TSX Sport Wagon – JH4CW2...CC000001 thru JH4CW2...CC000769

SYMPTOM
The HandsFreeLink (HFL) system randomly deletes a
phone that’s been previously paired, and all imported
phonebook information.

PROBABLE CAUSE
During system shutdown, the HFL software fails to
save the pairing information used to establish the
bluetooth connection.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the HFL control unit.

I would suggest taking the bulletin with you to the dealer. I emailed my dealer and he ordered the part in for me so when I came it was a 1/2 hour wait to get the HFL replaced and I was on my way.

Is this only an iPhone related issue or for different types of cell phones? I haven't had a problem with my RAZR Maxx yet but it's good to know theres a TSB.

It is for the HFL unit in general and not specific to the Iphone. I am unaware of the HFL turning off your phone but if you find yourself screaming at your HFL to find a contact while driving, its probably because this unit is defective. My VIN fell outside the range in the bulletin, but still had the same problem.

For me, when I reprogrammed my phone the sound clips for each contact were still in the HFL but the information was deleted.

No issues thus far.
