AcuraLink and Bluetooth Audio

I have a 2009 TSX Tech. I haven't been able to use the Bluetooth Audio or the AcuraLink system. I have a 2nd Gen iPhone that I've successfully paired to the car's bluetooth system. I can't figure out why the other two features won't work - I don't know if it has something to do with my phone or something else.

If I understand the question (in part at least)....iPhone, in all of its state-of-the-art technologies, does NOT support BT audio. Otherwise, BT will connect to Acura's HandsFree BT....quite nicely.

Maybe apple will one day bestow upon the masses a firmware update enabling BT audio (if possible, of course).

I have got BT audio to work on my Motorola V9M and my BlackBerry 8800 World Phone. Once you connect to BT and you play music, the option screen allows you to send to Audio, and it should play on your TSX.

As for AcuraLink, both my phones are not compatible, according to the AcuraLink website

acuralink

We have a 2009 Mdx and ourLg phone through verizon works intermittently. Sometimes it allows conversation through the audio speakers, often it doesn't. This phone worked great on our 2005 chrysler. Acura needs to get on the stick and resolve this issue.

These is a tsb for AcuraLink, I have had my car a year and 1/2 and with 4 or 5 different phones never could get Acura link to work.

I've been pretty disappointed with the AcuraLink Bluetooth - even sent an email to the AcuraLink people asking about why so many phones aren't supported. I've got a Nokia E71 and my wife has a Razr and neither has full support. My Nokia actually connects on received calls and then drops them back to the phone and then goes back to the AcuraLink like a ping-pong ball.

And there are a lot of new phones that aren't supported either as I checked recently when my wife was considering an upgrade. It's really too bad. And when you're in a HandsFree calling state - you're stuck.

Hi. I have a 2010 Acura TSX with the built in bluetooth and I use an iPhone 3GS. I also had problems when answering the phone with the steering wheel button. It would drop the call. I just want to let the fellow iPhone users know that since I have upgraded to iOS 4.0.1 on the phone the handsfree link works much better in the car.

I thought acuralink used your phone as a data connection and had to dial out. Your phone and carrier had to support dial up networking for it to work. I know my last phone worked just fine, but my current phone doesn't support it without some software help, so its not working now. I never used it so I haven't really tried to make it work.
