Preston's CU2 Daily Driven build thread

What's up guys. So, i bought this car back in September after made my job switch to Acura. i traded in my 2007 Accord EX-L. It's a 2009 Acura TSX Base auto, bought with 52,000 miles. I got it for $14,300 since it had some misc dings and scratches. I got it for my daily driver and it remained stock for all of a couple weeks, then i got the itch to do more. This thread probably won't move too quickly as it's my daily and i don't have any big plans with it really.

so it started with the front grille. i wanted to plastidip it for now to make sure i'd like it before i painted it. eventually i'll do the mugen grille so this will be a good temporary fix.

bought the SE OEM dead rest pedal. i'll do the other 2 pedals eventually, i just don't want to spend $200 for the gas pedal since it's bought as a full assembly.

hard to see exactly but i deleted the intake resonators behind the bumper. i love the tone it gives off now.

got bored one day and bought some paint and wanted to spice up the strut tower bar since there aren't any nice aftermarket ones out there.

and you can't keep stock wheels once you're lowered. so i got a fantastic deal on a set of 19x8 +45 Formula Silver Volk CE28's with 225/35 Toyo Proxes tires with around 3000 miles on them. and then i had a set of Work lug nuts laying around at home so i tossed them on. 1 of the wheels had a tiny bend in the lip, so our wheel repair guy at work charged me $100 to fix the lip. perfect!

Yes CE28s..... I would've preferred 18s with a fatter tire, but still love it. Great job so far!

i thought 18's would been better, but after seeing how well the 19's fill it out i love it. and for the $1200 i paid for them i can't complain lol. just needs a wider tire.

That's a steal!

And yeah 19s fill the wells better on our fat CU2s . I find 19s to be too heavy for the K24Z3 though. But then again... you have CE28s so they're light as hell anyhow haha. Congrats again! My all time favourite wheel!

haha right! man i couldn't believe how huge that rear wheel well is. the x8 in the rear has so much room before it's flush. i was going to weigh the CE's and the stocks and compare, so i'll have to do that when i remove them. those stocks are so beefy.

Nice!

Those dont happen to be the same CE28's that were on sale in twin cities huh? I was looking at them but didnt want the hassle of repairing the bend.

Nice car man!

I was wondering what your plasti dip strategy was, I like the glossy, matched apearance yours has. When I did mine, It came out very mate and rough, almost velvet / truck liner like. Never seen dip look like this, my buddy said it was probably a bad can or bad spraying conditions
