Would anyone know where I can get the oem paint or close enough to match my Night Hawk Black paint. I painted mines gloss black but it did not look right since my car is bluish in the sun which throws the black off. Thanks.

seems like youre going to do a DIY paint job?

yea just go to a local auto body shop and tell them to mix you the OEM paint. they will find the OEM color code and do the paint in house. it should cost you about $60-$75 for the paint itself.

u can find the paint code on the door post is an engraved plate under the vin is the color code, tell this code to a auto body shop / some 1 who can mixt and prepare that for u.

good luck!

in many cases this paint wont match100% so ul have to polish all te car after u paint a part, because the sun affects the coat of the paint that "burns" it a bit...

go to your acura dealer and ask them who paints their cars. the shop they refer you to will likely have the closest OEM paint job

How are you getting the front grill off the car? I need to have the upper grill either painted or replaced. The clear coat is peeling off and the chrome has since started to rust/turn blackish. I can see there are four screws on the backside of the grill looking through the top, but couldn't figure out how to take off the entire grill (if it actually all needs to come off) by looking at it?

You have to take off the front bumper to remove the grill. Search around for instructions on how to install the Aero bumper, the first few steps show you how to remove the front bumper.

Your front grill

I really like the front grill you have on your car. Any idea where I might be able to get that from?

If you are looking for the CF grille on MrOtocinclus TSX, it's from CT Engineering:

no you dont have to take the bumper off. i took my grill off in 20 mins, pop the hood, pop he pins that hold down the plastic over the grille, lift it up and there are 4 clamps and 2 small screws you have to loosen right near the headlights. go to local home depot and ask for an alen key with a phillips head tip and youll be able to get to the screws without removing the bumber, , under the grille theres 4 more clamps holding the grille behind the grille at the bottom, 2 at the middle and one in each corner of the bottom of the grille, pop those out and grille comes right out. , ill post up instructions with pics

Is there any downside to the carbon fiber wrap? Such as peeling/chipping, or damage once removed? I heard that when the weather gets very hot, they can even melt. Is this true??

I'd be interested to know the answer to this question as well. Since I really like the all black look I was thinking of using the finished look of the CT Engineering carbon fiber replacement blade with the DiNoc wrap on the trim.

you could also try water transfer imaging to get the CF look.

google CRC hydrographics. They do water transfer imaging for guns and cars
