good job with the tips man! I'm loving them. One question, what's the clearance between the tips and your bumper? I once had a custom muffler installed and the heat from the muffler ended up melting part of my bumper...... thanks

i dont have to worry about that. i told the muffler guys to create a separate tip pointing downwards. so technically the LS tips are not connected to the OEM exhaust so it wont melt the bumper nor mess up the paint.

wait did I just read that right? so the tips are just molded to the bumper and not actually part of the exhaust?

car looks good. the tips look excellent. the front end looks nice. glad you took off that carbon fiber stuff and that chrome trim along the fogs..that was a nice concept, but it did NOT look good.

the fogs look okay, but to me, it's too busy...too much light in there...makes it look like buckteeth on the bottom of the car or something... i'd go with more simple OEM style fogs.

grill is fine.

the wheels are a nice style, but to me, the wheels look too sunken in...it needs wider wheels or spacers to bring them out further.

overall, it's a great looking car.

i'd tint the windows! why haven't you tinted it. it looks funny w/out tint. with so muhc customization, tint would be one fo the first things I did...it's cheap to do and makes the car look soooooooo much better.

TINT!

I have a set of wheels for the TSX which consist of one 19" BBS RK, one 17" ssr comp (good for racing, although might only work when turing left or which ever side you decide to put it), one 19" Deep Dish HRE 540, and one 17" factory wheel powdercoated like a rainbow (when you drive the wheel looks black, only when you stop do people recognize your gay.) I think these wheels would be the perfect combo for you. They would look perfect on your car. Make an offer and they are yours.

dude i saw ur youtube video while browsing the net. and spent ages just to find this thread. Then just spent the past 2 hours reading every single post.... and i gotta say... YOU ARE GODLIKE!. ur mods, originality, bravery to try to DIY everything are all fully sick. i like ur idea of wanting to be different to everyone, even if its not to everyone's taste, people seem to forget that its "EACH TO THEIR OWN".

i dont like driving around looking like everybody. any person with a bit of cash can buy premade bodykits and stuff, but it takes inspiration, guts and genius to do what u do.

ignore the haters. keep it up bro.

btw i think the disconnected exhaust idea is genius, more than the fact that it also looks good.

now that the commemoration is over and done with lol, i have a few questions.

where did you buy the carbon fiber vinyl?
is your main car colour different from the stock colours? because i have the volcanic grey and its darker than yours. but yours is still darker than the silver. or is it just the lighting

what did you use to do the custom chrome trim? and how did u attach them?

how did u wire the custom fogs? did u have to take off the bumper to wire them?

and did you say that you are making your own lip kit? lol you really need to make a tutorial for some of this stuff!

Oh i forgot to add
how did u find which wires belong to wat for the fogs? i just bought led fogs to use as DRLs i have no idea how to wire them. i need some help

are you still going to do the audi headlights? because i also bought strips for my headlights too. also no idea how to wire them. is it possible to put them on the inside of the headlight casing? i was told u cant take it off.

im also doing internal car lighting, planning to add door garnish LED strips wired to the dome light, so it fades when u close the door like the domes. Is it possible to wire to the fuse?

thanks man.

i got the 3D textured carbon fiber vinyl from www.stickercity.com. they're local to me and they charge $80 for labor

here's the direct link for the vinyl itself.
http://www.stickercity.com/3M-Di-Noc...nyl-Sheet.html

i think volcano grey might be the same as the grigio here. mine is polished metal metallic.

the custom chrome lining i got from autozone. they come with double side tape already on them so its just plug and play. i got the idea from the new camaros where they have silver bezels on their taillights. i just wanted to see how it looked. i might do it again but paint it gunmetal or black instead of chrome on the taillights. we'll see.

as for the custom fogs, i just used the DRL/high beam wires and positioned it to the bottom of the bumper. yes i had to take off the bumper to get more working space

the lip kit is still a work in progress. i currently have a home depot lip on the car and will be covered in 3d carbon fiber vinyl. i plan to fiberglass it sometime in the future. i plan on getting an extra OEM front bumper and make about 4 variations of the front lip in fiberglass. i have 2 versions of the side skirts. the first one are oem base side skirts from a 97-01 prelude. i just have to make it fit. second set of side skirts are from ebay. rear lip is from a oem base 97-01 prelude. i have to cut them and make those fit as well. my time will be limited so there's no ETA on the completion of these DIY projects

i just took the DRL/high beam wires and cut the plastic tab to make the extend longer downward into the bumper.

i was going to do audi headlights but i didnt like how it turned out our cars. you'd have to bake the headlights and pry them open. i plan on baking my headlights and just spray tinting the DRL/high beam area with transparent yellow. just like this pic below. there's a DIY write up on here on how to clear out your headlights

in regards to LEDs and audi strips, im using a 12V cigarette lighter that i got from radio shack. it already has a fuse inside of it. you can also connect the wires inside of the arm rest holder next to the ipod jack. theyre just simple positive and negative wires.

hey thanks for the link dude, i live in australia, so the shipping is harsh, but i did a bit of searching on the net for the di noc fiber, and i found a cheaper seller on ebay.

do u have any photos of the chrome lining? im particularly interested in how it sticks to the car. it looks like a thin wire, so i dont see how any adhesive can even be applied. im trying to do the same thing but using EL wire inside my car. the result is a mess. Sticky tape is a big nono, and bluetac putty shows around the edges, very ugly.

so basically your getting other bodykits and adjusting and cutting them to make them fit. genius lol

i was going to install them on the exterior of the headlight casing using a flat smd strip. and there is a crevice where i can slip the wires through between the bumper and the casing. however the strip i bought was terrible and not bright at all with tiny bulbs.

did you find any good strips to use?

i know about the secondary 12v in the armrest, i currently use it to light up my internal cathodes and el wire using a ciggarette adapter. Were you referring to taking it apart and tapping the wires directly? because u can also use a cigarrete lighter adapter.

the only problem is there is a bit of mess with the wires coming out. so i was hoping to use a fuse tap. is it possible to draw power from the ecu/fuse box? or shud i just tap into a powered wire but not from the fuses themselves?

Wow, the LS460 tips look GREAT on the TSX - you got a good eye for putting that together.

I actually like the fog lights, they're different and anyone can tell that a lot of work was put into them. Overall, great mods; this kind of stuff is why I joined Acurazine in the first place.

Keep up the good work!!!

Here's 1 of 5 custom lips I'm making as another DIY project. All lips will be fiberglassed and either paint matched or wrapped in 3D carbon fiber vinyl to match my setup.

The one shown below is just two lips layered on top of each other. This will be fiberglassed as one unit.

I'll post another pic later on today. 2 of 5 lips will be the upper lip only without the bottom piece.
