Finally did it
Finally did it
Took months of deliberation and indecisiveness but finally did it: got new wheels and springs on Friday. My wife and I went on a road trip yesterday and she took some preliminary pics:

We broke off the front emblem when installing the CT Engineering "shield", but it may have been a blessing in disguise because it looks kinda nice with a dark color there in the middle. I ordered 2 new emblems and will paint one of them gun metal to see how it looks.
I still need to do an alignment next week, and then I'll give it a nice wash and a real photoshoot.
Enjoy the pics!

To be honest, I kinda like the smiley face (I don't think of it as a smiley face). I was thinking that with a dark-colored emblem on the front it will look alright, so we'll see.

Thanks for the comments. I painted my broken emblem as a test, and here's the result:
...with the dark-colored shield I don't even have to try, I just like it. It's much more understated and that's what I like. If the car wasn't a lease I would debadge the "Acura" and "TSX" in the back to make it cleaner, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of gluing the emblems back on at the end.
Another thing is I've seen pictures of the Mugen grill elsewhere on this forum and sometimes at first glance the car looks like that, i.e. just one flat piece across the front.
To be honest I'm trying to envision the grill on your car, but I can't see it because it clashes with your color. I actually think the chrome grill on your car looks good with your color and rims.
Lastly, the CT-E grill doesn't have the extra clips that hold it to the front bumper like the OE chrome grill does. It's just screws. Don't get me wrong, it's secure, but I was pushing around that area and it seemed like I was able to move the bottom part.
Well, I've had it for about a week and I'm really happy I got it. When I first got the car whenever I saw the chrome shield I would gag and have an adverse reaction. After awhile, I got used to it and it didn't seem so bad anymore. Having said that...

I think your grille looks flawlees as is... the 2 tone is the best look for the style of grille. Keep up the good work, the car looks amazing.
I say take them off
Its easy to put them back on with double sided tape.
OP, love the drop and the rims!
tints. mugen visors, roofwing, and lip spiler and your car would look so sick.
if you are in long beach, CA (judging from your forum name), try S&W garage on broadway and junipero.

Actually, I didn't paint-match the grill. The grill you see in the pics is the carbon fiber grill from CT-Engineering. It resembles Grigio Metallic which was the reason I bought it.
Sometimes when I'm daydreaming I do think about just buying that part of the grill and then paint-matching it, but I'm just reluctant to shell out the cash. Also for some reason I've started to like the stock chrome grill a bit more and have been thinking about putting back on, too. Darn indecisiveness!
Hey, thank you. My wife and I were looking at the Nengun site and we were like "it'd be badass if we bought the whole Mugen kit" but of course for that price it becomes a question of how much we're willing to spend, and at this point we're not prepared to shell out that much (I already spent a bundle on the wheels/tires).
