Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

But if you like it i guess that's all that matters.

defcon: It actually look not bad.

The centre grille, you may want to expose the ring/circle around the A emblem because without it the A looks out of place.

Not sure I'm a 100% feeling the mirrors but the grill looks great especially with you color. And +1 for the outline of the A. Good job

my coworker suggested to wrap the entire mirror since i originally wrapped it around the painted side only. so its only half wrapped.
ill try that and see how it looks before i decide to rip it off or leave it.

no on the mirror wrap, but i wonder what it would look like if you wrapped the whole grill and blacked out the A emblem in the front.
or leave the A and the ring around it chrome and wrap the whole grill.

It looks weird on the grill, and the matching grill and side mirrors has kinda an "Opie" look, but ... strangely, the grill STILL doesnt' look as bad as I imagine it does stock.

If you like it, though, go with it. Your ride, your choice.

Looks good man. i probably wouldn't do it but it came out clean. I was planning on using that wrap for some parts of my interior. I heard it was pretty easy to use

hey ed_423, this is the thread for the guy on the 3G TL board that did it, I'm not trying to overdo it. most likely the cup holder area, and some accents on the door area.

Confirming once again that the potato peeler looks much better when it's in a complimentary (not contrasting) color with the body color. Well done....

Good for you for trying something different. The grille doesn't look bad with the color of the car. Will the wrap damage the painted mirrors when removed??

i remember the guy saying it will last about 3 years. im not sure if it will damage the paint if you remove it. look up 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl and it should tell you whether it'll damage the paint

I have been doing tons of research for the 3M di-noc wrap, and as far as I know, every body says it comes off, and you will never even know it was there. Sometimes, but very rarely, it will leave a little residue behind, but you can just get some goo-gone for that. I have seen people take it off from their interiors, and it did not even leave anything. If anything, it might even be protection from scratches, and stuff like that.

i had some on my window button trims on the doors for about half a year. came off perfectly with no residue.

3m scotchprint is their new line of vinyl, it was designed with automotive applications in mind, its pretty much identical to di-noc in terms of function, but in terms of aesthetic, the cf weave pattern is much smaller and more attractive. You can go on 3m website and order a sample pack for free. Like i said it has di-noc beat in the looks department!
