Clearing driveways when lowered -- solutions?

My car is only lowered 1/2" at the moment, but the dip in my driveway makes it impossible to drive in/out of the garage without scraping. I made these simple ramps that help the situation.

If you have any tips/solutions/suggestions, post if you want.

- longer ramp....

- come in diagonally....

- fill in the street gutter, making a lil ramp... of course making a hole so water could pass...

- air suspension? lol

- moving?

Angles won't do much if the driveway is too narrow. My buddy's driveway is even worse. Many parking lots are very similar around here, some much worse. Makes me wonder how some people get away with slamming their cars so low.

pour concrete in the street. may or may not be legal, however.

lol, that's what I do too, just scrape.

Filling in my driveway probably isn't legal, it's a part of the sidewalk on a public street. My solution works for my driveway anyway. Another plus about it you could just throw the ramps in the trunk and use them as needed if you were really low.

Sidewalks are city owned and you gotta talk to your city rep about your revisions and the bill of repair will be coming out of your pocket, its what I've heard. I've voiced my opinion on improving my car port as well and still waiting for a reply from my city rep.

If you go really fast, you don't scrape.

I think you should remove the bottom 2x4 so that you don't have that tetter tatter effect. Don't worry buddy, my car port is way worse than yours.

That looks like San Francisco... a city that's not too friendly to lowered cars. Have you ever tried backing in?

wtf backing in is worse.. who up into a drive way like that?

if i were you, id try to hop the curb just a tad bit with your wheel.. if you go slow, it wont damage your wheel or tires at all

btw looking at that driveway.. i bet i can get my slammed tl up that with little to no scrape.. you just gotta trim those fucken bushes so you can get more angle clearance.
