Comparable when you select HT's 2 piece rotor kit.

The car may only have 200hp, but it's not the lightest car in the world.

Looking forward to seeing some BBK's behind your wheels!

You're absolutely right, Not the lightest, But realistically speaking, It's a lot more for looks, The "piece of mind" may be worth it as well for those Unexpected stops. I'm sure Slotted Rotors, and some upgraded Pads would suffice.

Can only be good, More stoppin power, looks better
I'm just sure I'm not the only one who can't justify that price to stop a TSX.
Either way I'm in for some pics of them calipers behind your wheels! it'll definitely complete the look back there

slotted rotors are so sexy. it will increase your sexiness factor so much that you will get it on with your wife the day you install it. and nine months later you will have another kid. blame it on the brakes...not the alcohol

BBKs may have to take a back seat.. Just stopped by my local Mazda dealer to see if they have any more 2011 RX8 with the R3 package left. They didn't have any more on their lot but found 4 NEW ones at near by dealerships. So guess who's getting one this weekend?

+1 what do you do for a living? and are they hiring?
As much as I like the RX (I used to own a '90 Turbo II) I think Mazada stop making a great sports car with the 3rd gen RX-7, IMHO. Now Nissan on the other hand the 370z NISMO is a vice I would like to indulge, again my humble opinion. Hell I'm just jelly your buying a new car this weekend and I'm stuck doing yard clean up.

I wear many hats and fortunately they all pay very well. The splurge on the Rx8 is a treat for myself after working my ass off for the last 3 years. Wife and kids all got their treats already. Now it's my turn. I have always loved the rx8 and wished I had an rx7 as well. The thought of owning the last of the rotaries on one of the best handling chassis did it for me. This RX is a keeper.

Btw in addition to having a great paying consulting/research job I have been very fortunate to have great returns on some investments I made last year.

Feel free to PM me anytime Killer I don't mind chatting off line and sharing my experiences. BTW, here's what the R3 version looks like stock..

Check out them Recaros..

My game plan is to keep this one stock for a lil bit and run it a few times in auto-x this years after proper break it. Want to make sure the new mods on it will only enhance the handling and not degrade it for the purpose of aesthetics. Here's my short list of mods for it..

- Coils (Mazdaspeed or better)
- Staggered 19" Volks or ForgeStars
- Front/Rear StopTech BBK
- Intake/Exhaust
- Mazdatrix Supercharger

Back seats are perfect for the kids.. Latest update.. Paid for car and signed the paper work today. It's being transported from an out of state stealership in NJ. If all goes well, I should have it in the drive Monday evening

Congrats!

Ben, you know Fridays at the track are starting up soon. I live 10 minutes from Summit Point, would be pretty cool to see that RX-8 in action!

As a matter of fact, I am a drop out.. I was asked by the dean of my college to take a leave of absence to get my sh** together

Fortunately, I was able to land a great job at the time with a major financial company who gave me a shot. Never looked back after that. However, I will stress the fact that I was very lucky and found myself at the right place at the right time. If I hadn't gotten this job, who knows what would have happened to me.
