I tried to capture the exhaust note for you all yesterday on my morning drive. However, the iphone video and audio capture sucked! I will try again this coming weekend with one of my kids manning a legit video camera. I tell you, this is the closest I can get to a liter sport bike experience on 4 wheels. The exhaust note bouncing off the sound barrier walls and tunnels is just freaking SICK! I downshifted a couple of gears each time in a tunnel or a sound barrier wall so I can get the rpms up over 7K to really capture the essence of that exhaust note. More to come

Thanks! I got on it a tad bit too early. Did anyone catch that back fire at the end. ECU cut off at 9,500 rpms lol...Now you all know what I mean when I say it sounds like a sport bike.

Here's another clip I made earlier on the way to the office.. No vid just sound with windows down accelerating thru the C&O Canal section of MD/DC.

This one was made at TurboXS before I modded the high flow mid pipe with a baffled resonator and a hollow resonator on the rear section before the mufflers.

I've been waiting for so long for somebody to do a 2nd gen tsx right. Love it man. You should seriously consider the black roof, I think it would really set it off.

Thanks Matt! I would do the black roof except the shark fin is glued down from the factory and putting back together is a pain in the ass. Secondly, glossy black vinyl scratches easily especially during the install. Hard to avoid when you have to press hard with squeegees to get air bubbles out.

Ah yeah I didn't know the fin was glued. I did my roof myself gloss black vinyl and didn't have any trouble with scratching. I wrapped my squeegee in a microfiber towel and used a lot of water/soap mix to help.

Here's a quick pic of the RX with coil overs. Will be ordering new Forgestar rims as finding Volks with the right offset in a 9.5" wide rim is next to impossible.

Or these.. Finally found them the right width and offset.. But $3200 for rims only with no centercaps are hard to get past the wife.. But they would look nice..

If you plan on getting BBK I'd go with CF5. Let me know where you're getting forgestar. I may need to get a set for the TL.

Z/Oscar: That new TL looks sharp! You got one heck of a deal on it

Pyro: Logically I am leaning towards the F14 as I test fitted one of my rear wheels with the 275/35s on the RX. I have to say, it looked totally badass and has that all "bizness" look to it. Not the mention the ass end was so beefy looking with those 275s perfectly flushed. However, emotionally, I am attached to the Volks TE-37s as every car I've owned up to the TSX had TE-37s on them.. We shall see.. Come next week, I will make up my mind on either the Forgestars or Volks.

For the RX-8, I like the F14s. I'm just drooling over this last page of the thread.

Oops, I thought the F14 was the star wheel. For the RX-8, I like the CF5, which is the star wheel, and not the mesh.

That's what I am leaning towards.. The CF-5 or Seibon TE-37s. The TE-37s are in stock and ready to be shipped from NC where I can get it within a couple of days. However, dropping $3200 on rims without center caps and tires, I can be looking at $4500 when it's all said and done. Kinda hard to get that expense through without a lot of grief. The CF-5 is different and is some what Ferrari'ish considering that's most of them come with some really thin 5 spoked wheels.

Killer, can you photochop the CF5 and TE-37s on the car por favor?

I was going to have a little bit of poke'age on my current setup. But dropping the coils a tad bit or dialing an extra degree of negative camber will make it hella-flush. These wheels are available for shipping Monday from NYC while a set of RFP1s (19x8.5 and 9.5 in the +42 offset) from Japan will take 60 days.
