5thTo2nd's Crystal Black Pearl TSX
Here's some pics I snapped last fall after getting the car lowered and finally getting my Mugen's on there. Wasn't going to put these up until getting the JDM Type S kit but another member asked what GP's looked like on a 2nd gen so here it is.
- Gunmetal Mugen GP's
- Eibach Prokits
- SPC rear camber kit
- K&N drop-in filter
I'm hoping to get a kit on there sometime before spring rolls around but we'll see about that...

Thanks for all the comments guys.
Yeah, I knew I'd be getting some comments on the 18's since most of you guys are rocking 19's for the 2nd gen. I know the trend here in North America is to go big or go home but I've always wanted a good, lightweight forged rim and the look I'm going for is clean and classy rather than sporty.
I knew one of you would catch the absence of the fogs. The base up here in Canada also doesn't have the shark fin antenna, leather or HID's.

Even if those are 18's they look really good. I definitely approve!

I think the rims looks terrific on your car
How's the Type S kit order coming along? Did you get 5 people sign up?
Can't wait till March to put the 19" back on mine, it suppose to snow/flurries late tomorrow here.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments!
I can't wait till spring either. I've got the winters on still but I'm thinking mid-March also for the change-over, especially since the Mugens are on all-season Yokos.
Nah Tech, I'm still at 2 or 3 full bodykits out of 5 (with someone from another forum maybe getting on board). I was kinda expecting a drop-off in interest for the Type S kit after the initial posting and I'm hoping to get at least 1-2 more guys signed on if any of you out there are interested....

Thanks guys--I've always wanted Mugens and College Hills Honda had an unbelievable blowout on them when they were being discontinued so I couldn't resist, even with the shipping here to Canada. I would have put them on earlier but the tires I wanted were on back-order for like half a year so the Mugens just sat in my basement crying to be put on.

I got my local Acura dealership to work on the suspension but I did call Speedstar for a quote, especially since their alignment machine is pretty top-notch. I'm kinda picky about who works on the car.

You see me, I CU2
Thanks bud. Haha yeah I actually like the clean look without the sharkfin and personally I see so many cars on the road with one fog light out that I don't really like dealing with them either.

Really?! I thought that a dealership would refuse to do that kinda work knowing that it would void the warranty..I'm actually quite blown away by this right now lol

looks great!
from my experience, I think the offset of the wheel is more influential of the overall stance and look of the car, rather than the size of the wheels. You can pull off wheels from 17"-20"s as long as you have the perfect stance, flush offset and perfectly proportioned tires.

Thanks Impress. I really like what you've done with your ride as well. Nice blend of classy/sporty. Did you ever decide whether you're doing the rear or not?
You're totally right about the offset...most people just think of the diameter but it's the flushness that matters more.

Lowering springs doesn't void your warranty entirely. It would only void suspension or tire related issues as a result of the lowering. They can't refuse to fix other components under warranty.

Call me old-school but I don't really like the whole LED thing whether inside or outside the car. Looked good on the R8 at first and I think it looks good on the MB's I've seen but this whole LED thing has gotten kinda out of hand IMO.

They're brighter, last FAR longer, eluminate quicker, and just overall far more efficient than standard bulbs. Since daytime running lights are on basically the entire time the car is running, it only makes sense to use LED's rather than bulbs as DRL's.

I agree that just slapping LEDs on your car for looks can be overboard, but to say that factory installed and functional LED's is out of hand is like saying it's out of hand to advance technology.

I don't mind the factory ones as much, and I actually like the execution on the new Porsches (esp the Cayenne) but some are just downright tacky.
Oh, and brightness? That's gone a little over-the-top even on the OEM side...I was behind a new Audi a couple days ago at a red light and I could barely look into the taillights it was so bright.
