Strut King Full Pedal Kit Installed (yes, the dead pedal too)
So first let me say, I have no affiliation with Strut King, but want to give Kevin over there props for timely emails to help work through this. Also, in speaking with him they will sell their full kits for $75 shipped to us 2G drivers due to the fact that slight mods are needed. Email them at sales@strutking.com and let them know Tobey sent you to get that price. I'm glad I finally found a solution that includes the dead pedal and doesn't cost $300!!
So on to the install. First - take my instructions with a grain of salt, or two. If you're not used to mods, cutting stuff, turning a screwdriver - leave it to the pros. I've been modding cars for over 20 years, so this was a simple job for me. If an angry Dremel gets away from you, it will scratch plastic, and if it hits metal it will spark, and sparks cause fires. If you screw up your DBW gas pedal you're looking at a $200 bill that you will foot. Fairly good chance it will never happen, but that's your risk to take. If you decide to take this mod on - double check behind everything and watch what you're doing before cutting - your car might be different than mine.
Anyway, I read in several places that the dead pedal was the problem in this kit. And it was a problem, but a very small one. I purchased the 1G TSX full auto kit. You'll need a Dremel, a drill, some bits, and some screwdrivers.
Here's the kit - looks nice.
Here are the perceived problems with the dead pedal - #1 it's barely wide enough to cover the holes in the carpet that are hiding underneath the OEM dead pedal. Height of the new pedal cover is fine.
Problem #2 - Here is the new dead pedal installed over the OEM pedal - you can see the issue here, the OEM pedal is ~1/2 wider than the new cover that you're trying to install over it - you'll need to trim something.
Here's the 5 minute fix - trim the OEM dead pedal. Don't trim it too much. I shaved off each side even with the traction nubs on the inside of the pedal. Shave, check the fit, shave, check the fit... doesn't have to be perfect.
Here is the dead pedal trimmed, cover installed over it, and snapped back into the car. Notice no carpet holes on either side. If you tugged on the carpet you may jostle it enough to see a carpet gap on either side, but I think it's doubtful. Even if it did become a problem, 2 small pieces of double-sided carpet tape underneath would hold the carpet from moving.
I also read of problems with the StrutKing gas pedal cover being slightly off - like the OEM pedal is too tall and the new cover doesn't fully cover the pedal. Another easy fix - shave 1/8" off the top of the gas pedal with your Dremel remembering that a) it's a $200 pedal and b) angry Dremels cause havoc. here's the gap:
Ok apparently I didn't take pictures of what I trimmed off of the gas pedal, but I shaved a small amount off the top edge so the new cover would sit further down on the pedal. You want the new cover to cover the circled blue part above and stay away from the circled red part - that's part of the lever machanism and shouldn't be touched or covered. This really doesn't even need to be done - I'm just a perfectionist and it was simple to get it perfect.
The brake pedal cover was super easy, remove the OEM rubber cover, slightly enlarge the 4 existing holes in the metal pedal, and install the new cover over it - make sure to tighten the bolts and locknuts.
Plastic protective tape removed, cleaned up, glamour shots - looking good.
So the slight mods needed to get this done were well worth the $200 in savings over the JDM kit. You're just going to step on them and scratch them up, why pay $200 more. Kevin over at StrutKing.com was cool to deal with too, and quick to help, so I highly recommend them. The only thing I would suggest is replacing the screws with SS screws at some point, or maybe rivets.
Enjoy.

Nice writeup and install, but what I really like is that your car is clean. I've seen a lot of mod pics on here where the car is just a mess, which IMHO takes away from the mod.

Good job tobey457. Excellent write up and kudos on the solutions for fitment issues.
I had the Strut King installed originally (minus the dead pedal), just remember to get some galvanized screws for the pedals, otherwise you will see brown rusty spots in rainy days.
I was fortunate to get the OEM sports pedal two years ago from Lings Honda in UK and they were quite a bit cheaper back then ($200 shipped to Canada).
MrOto, I like a clean car (interior) also, but try that with two kids under the age of 10

Mod is done and it is perfect. No need to add picture its the same as OP but mine is 6MT.
In addition, i have place a black plastic sheet behing the metal pedal so you can't see the plastic pedal behind just like in the rest pedal and gaz pedal. It look cleaner and more finish.
