Perfomance Help

Hey guys, I have a 2013 Acura TSX V4 or I4, 2.4L engine. I am really confused on what upgrades I should do.Plus my car is automatic. I have already installed a Long ram Cold Air Intake with a vortec cyclone fan for better air flow, and also about to add a bcg chip as soon as it arrives. My question is that should I buy magnaflow mufflers with a magnaflow catalytic converter for power and a little noise? If so, then should I change the headers from stock to skunk 2 series. I am mainly looking for better throttle response, more power, more torque, and main thing to let my car breathe in and out better. Last, headers are one of my main concern. So please give me some feedback on what I should do? Oh also where can I find a full exhaust system for 2013 models, or can I still use 2009 model and up for a catback system? I wish I had V6 manual but no luck lol. Thanks in advance!

So, I'm just spittballing, but from what little I know about this engine, all that work will lighten your wallet by a couple grand, add some dB to your earholes, but only really net a pittance of power.

Like what, *maybe* +15hp?

Just be aware of that; you're not going to be making a street killer or anything. But have fun doing it.

Good luck, and post some pics along the way!

that's the fun part of modding.
plus, with exhaust mods....you cant mess ANYTHING up.
and if you do, either revert back to stock or change something else.

He could easily strip out bolts from his old exhaust... That could definitely be something he messes up.

Yeaa it will be costly. I'm not trying to be a street killer and not with the standard TSX. Just want to add a little power and not spend much. Before I mess with exhaust, I will make sure with professionals and screw anything up.

We've been over this before in other threads...

V1: 1G TSX
V2: 1G TSX MMC
V3: 2G TSX
V4: 2G TSX MMC

OP has a 2013, which is MMC... V4 checks out.

I can't think of anything short of turbo/super charging or internal mods that will get a 15hp bump in power. Modern intakes are pretty well optimized from the factory and exhausts/headers will only get you a couple of hp before you run into emission controls and driveability issues.

The only way to cheaply get more power from a TSX is to buy a different car. My favorite mod is the "driving school mod". That'll add the equivalent of 50hp, is transferable to any car and may save your life.
