i went to go pick up my sister at like 11 o clock and i barely stepped on the gas pedal and my rpm shot up to like 5000 . and it felt like it was so sensitive.

but during earlier in the day when i left the house i stepped on the gas pedal like halfway and it took awhile to get to 4000rpm. lol
and i only have an injen sri.

could it be due to the heat at the day time? and it was pretty cold at the night time

 

haha i feel that sometimes too, but it could be placebo from me thinking "omg its night time, my cai must be getting the coolest air ever!"

but you could be right, it might be cus night time is cooler

 

night time is cooler.

cooler air = less dense air.

less dense air = POWER increase

 

you should also get rid of your short ram intake.
Its hurting your performance in the day time, especially when its super hot out.


its sucking all the hot air in from the engine + the ambient temperature outside.
when you do start to move the air gets cooler, but at idle its just hot air.

you should have opted for a CAI or left the stock system in place, as the stock system brings in cooler air than your SRI.

 

cooler air and less humidity FTMFW. Turbo cars especially benefit from cooler temps.

Since our motors are very high strung, you need premium gas and the coolest air possible.
the Engine Compression Ratio for the V6 TSX is 11:1.

She likes cold air and premium gas.

 

You got it backwards, man. Colder air is more dense = MORE power. Hotter air is less dense (which is the reason during the day the OP car is feeling a bit slow)

maybe it can be just placebo but i dont think i need to convert to CAI yet cause its gonna be winter soon, and it gets pretty cold where i live in CA in winter. Also anyone get this weather warning message on tv? i was watching t.v. and this popped up : SEVERE THUNDER STORM LOS ANGELES bla bla bla and then i llooked online and it talked about quarter size hails....

I'm pretty sure what everyone is saying is right, nighttime would be slightly better, but I really don't think it's that drastic haha.

Personally, when I drive at night, I feel like I'm delivering tofu on a mountain and recklessly engage my e-brak at every corner. That's just me though.

those rims are VMR's. you gonna have to get them redrilled.

and the one under the fog light is a type s rep lip. it only fits 09/10 models. but defcon cut his to fit the 11'.

 

I do have a cup of water in the front holder...but thats just me though
