Flashpro bluetooth feature.

Has anyone found a permanent solution for that hondata mobile Bluetooth app? I would love to have some kind of screen turn on automatically showing me my engine info and gauges whenever I turn on my car. Kind of like the skyline.

icrap.. I forget, is this your car or someone else?

Just leave your FP plugged in all the time and hide it under the driver kick panel. Leave FP manager( or BT app or whatever) running on your tablet and boom your tablet connects to BT feature when the car turns on.

But I thought the images on your tablet was just a video of what "could be" diagnostic display. Are you actually hooked up to your OBDII?

Oh yeah that's actually live via OBDII.

lol. Well the Torque app is better anyways.

Bigger issue is the Bluetooth didn't even connect... wrong PIN i guess. but it says nowhere what the Hondata's Bluetooth pin is.

You should post on Hondata forum. The admins are generally very responsive and helpful. They should be able to help you trouble shoot, or tell you if they are aware of the problem.

Also, does your tablet support USB? or mini USB? Maybe direct connect to FP?

Yeah I have USB in and have a 4 port hub, But i wasn't sure if the Hondata app actually supports USB in or only bluetooth connectivity.

I'll make a post on their forum then and see if they have a fix and more info on the USB.

Well if you are running windows then you don't even need the app. Just download the software on your tablet and datalog straight from the FP to your tablet. Wire to Wire connection.

Sooo you know how your phone has Micro USB for charging and uploading files to it and stuff? Some android devices can use a Y cable so you can also use that port for plugging stuff in like hard drives, sound cards, etc.. (so like plugging something into a PC).

So i use USB host on my tablet to get stuff like the backup camera, external sound card, extra storage for music.

So like, some apps support USB devices. Like the one in my short clip up there. So something like this

I'm using a bluetooth one though.
The app Torque supports the USB OBD stuff, but I have no idea if Hondata app does. I will have to ask on their forum.

I think the Torque app is better personally, way more features. And it has boost gauges, shift lights, etc you can set up as well.

It depends on whether or not Hondata has written their app to work with USB or ONLY Bluetooth.

I'll try it tomorrow over USB but my guess is no, it won't work.

This is taking me back to my carputer days. I would much rather have a wire to wire connection. Wireless is just to unreliable.

I have the Torque App (paid version and free version) and it connects to my nexus 7 G1 tablet just fine. I didn't mount my tablet on to my dash like you.. (little jealous) but it does connect.

Wait the Hondata works on the Torque app? I never even bothered to try that as I was sure it wouldn't work.
