NO kidding haha that sounds awesome, im salivating at the thought of it haha. Ya it is a little big, i love the look of those things tho man. Its like a UFO with 4 wheels. TSX is the perfect size. Idk whether to go with the CT-E supercharger, or go with a RDX turbo.....

The RDX turbo is not a bolt on. The CT-E is not only a bolt on, but the engine management is setup for it.

A RDX turbo kit sounds like to much work to me. I would love someone to try it, sounds cool. With the CT-E supercharger kit, I don't have to worry about anything. Install and go.

I know its not a bolt on, but me and my local performance mechanic were thinking of putting one in, and running a turbo back exhaust. Ya i know what you mean he told me if would run me around the same price as what the CT-Engineering one would. so im thinking about it

I ordered my blower!!!!!

(Ahem, that is to say my a/c in the house took a dump yesterday so I have a new (a/c) blower being installed for a cost of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!)

Holy crap! That's going to put a dent in the CTE Blower monies.

Dammit!

I guess that it is nice living in Seattle no need for A/C systems. I should have Dyno # at the end of this week.

Anxiously waiting. I'm game to do a 0-60 run with you when I come out for the meet to see the difference in acceleration. As long as DarwoodEE isn't around...

I would be more than happy to take you out. I will also try to get you a ride in our NSX. We just finished the water/meth injection kit last week. We are at 440hp at the wheels. We are going to try for more boost and hit the 475hp mark.

I won't be hammering on my car to much. I still haven't found a clutch yet. I don'tknow how far the factory clutch will go.

I don't know yet. I still haven't heard what it all has done to it yet. I should know in the next couple of weeks.

You and Lou01 shou roll down together on the 13th of Sept. I believe that there are several people coming down from your area.

i'd be very careful with that idea....the upfront cost might be the same but if your engine blows up you got a whole new problem on your hand.

I just called and they had to add more fuel. The factory injectors were cutting out about 6500 rpm. I should know more the first part of the week. I might have to fly down to Cali to pick it up to make the car meet.

I thought the injectors would need to be changed. That's awesome that you have to pick it up and drive back, if you need a passenger for the ride back let me know...

Oh, cool, then if I had to *guess*, then the injectors and subsequent management *might* work like other boosted apps where you change the injectors and the management can appropriately manage a low boost pulley or a smaller high boost one. Woohooo!

TSX supercharged or '10 TL 6-spd

Team,

Apologies up front if this is in the wrong area, but it does have to do with the upcoming supercharger.

I am in a bit of a dilemma and need your input. I love my '09 TSX 6-speed, blue/ebony, but my wife has a TL which is equally nice. Considering trading in my TSX on a '10 TL 6-spd, but just not sure. Was planning on waiting for the supercharger/cat back/headers/etc for the TSX, but not sure any longer.

Thoughts?

Thanks - netsecguy

True fact, i'm leaning towards the CT-E supercharger anyway just because me acura dealer where i brought my car from sells it so they said the supercharger wouldnt void my warranty NICE!!!!

There probably won't be a header as our heads have a exhaust bung port instead of individual ports, as did the 08 TL-S. But...hopefully they will make a s/c for the 6 speed '10 model. Time will tell.

I wouldn't be afraid of a 6MT J35 with/without a s/c, just very afraid of an auto J35.

In all likelihood I will do a blower on this car, too, in the meantime, I'm really digging the 26- 28.6+ mpg in mixed use, either.

I would wait to see what kit of power that my TSX makes before you decide. I hope to see around the 280 to 300 hp mark. That would beat the V6 TSX and the 6-speed TL.

Base boost won't be that much, hell, a .20" smaller pulley wouldn't do that alone. You'd have to have cams & exhaust & clutch & & & &&&&&&&&&&

I know I will be missing a few things for the full power gains. All that I think I am missing is cams and a clutch. I would hope for around 240hp @ the wheels with low boost. Still more than the V6

That'd be pretty strong, the thing about CTE hp/tq is that it's *unlike* Schtealin' (Stillen) horsepower where intakes add 100hp at the wheels. =)

Considering the lack of extra weight from the V6, this is going to make for a potent little package. I can't wait. Then again, that GD home air conditioner system expense in January is going to set me back a bit...dammit. >=O

I have not seen the Dyno yet. I will post it as soon as I get it. I looks like just shy of 250hp at the wheels at stock boost. They are going to finish the daily drive duties and than retest at full throttle again. If it stays at that number that is just shy of a 70hp increase.

I've seen/installed/owned cars with their stuff and it's always been head & shoulders above typical offerings from other manufacturers. It's not for everyone, that's always been one of their mantra's.

Damn that's strong, considering the CL & TL-S J35 V6 kits used to add like 60whp.

http://www.ct-engineering.com/store/tls-sc.html

I guess the K series is boost friendly(er).

What has the base boost been quoted as of yet? It'd like have to be 8psi. (?) It's not aftercooled, right?

I should just shaddup and wait for the press release.

They have in the past. IIRC, they used to recommend synthetic transmission fluid and an external cooler to keep things...uh...cool.

I'm sorry but I don`t have any info for you yet. I will be back in contact with them next week and I will post everything that I know. I do know that it is not aftercooled.

8 psi....

That'll make a big difference percentage wise over the 5.5 psi kits on the J32's.

What a difference tunable management & different injectors would make over a FMU.
