someone else installed my aftermarket speakers and before tearing my car apart i wanted to know if there is a separate stock signal/wiring being sent to the tweeters or were they wired with the door speaker?

 

There are separate wires going to the tweeters and door speakers. I dunno where the crossover is though... maybe behind the dash.

 

the tweeters on your doors are connected to your door speakers

 

On the Base the tweeters are feed directly off the factory amp and the crossover is in the amp. On the ELS system they are connected to the door speakers via a cap mounted to the back of the tweeter.

Oh ok...That makes sense. silly me i spend a half hour poking around my door looking for a crossover.

Quick questions with the tweeter for the 08 TSX if using this harness(link below) to connect to a JL audio amp, would i connect the wires labeled for tweeters to the amp or should i run them somewhere else.

that harness is for installing a new HU but can be used to connect an amp to the factory speaker wires. I don't recall it the tweeter wires are part of the harness or not.
