What does the USB connector do for phones?

I have an Android phone so it doesn't appear to actually do anything. Is it supposed to offer iPod control or something? I plugged in a flash drive and that worked, but i'm wondering if it works with phones too.

I have a HTC One and it charges (Last time it checked) but it will not play music. I have to use my iPhone 5 for that, or bluetooth.

Why do you have two phones?....

Anyways, what does the USB allow you to do with the iPhone 5? can you change your music with the car buttons over USB?

Oh ok. I guess no love for us android users from Acura. I'll just stick with bluetooth streaming then.

It's actually google's fault, they started using MTP (whatever it is) instead of using the phone memory as a flash drive.

I think there is nothing to support, the only support on android is use bluetooth. otherwise use apple or usb flash drive.

Well it there was an app to switch from MTP to whatever apple uses, or an app to switch from MTP to flash drive mode - so the car can read the data off the phone.

Bought iPhone 5, didn't like it, bought Nexus 4, broke it, bought HTC One. Now I have both.

Wish there were voice controls for music w/ the TSX.
