problem with HFL. iphone 3gs

hey guys so i was just wondering if you guys could help me out with my hands free link problem. i currently use an iphone 3gs with 3.0 software but it doesnt seem to let me connect to the handsfreelink. i can find it when searching for bluetooth devices through my phone but i try to connect to it to enter the 4 digit code (0000) but it keeps trying to connect and never works. i used my dad's motorola razr2 and it worked fine. i even used my brother's iphone 3g with 3.0 software and it worked fine. its just my 3gs that isnt working. what do you guys think?

Hmm.. maybe a soft reset on the phone might work? I, too, own an iPhone 3gs, but have not tried it yet. I would say, use a aftermarket bluetooth headset. The quality on the TSX isn't "that" great.. wind noise and road noise is all they're going to hear when talking to you.. That's why I've stopped using the HFL 3 months after the car was purchased... just my

It's something you're doing because I have the 3G S and mine works fine. I know Lou had the 3G S as well and his works too.

Did you set a new passcode for the 3GS? I don't know if passcodes are device dependent but perhaps the passcode is not 0000 for your device. Otherwise, try deleting all the phones and pairing the 3GS again. (You said in the past that a Moto was also paired to the car.)

I'd do this and see what happens. I went from a 1st gen iPhone to the 3G S and had to delete my first gen from the registry.

My 3GS works great with the TSX, as did my old 3G.

I hate to ask but is the bluetooth on the iPhone turned on? My wife turned hers off somehow and started complaining that calls were not coming into the car.

Same here- i have an 05 TL and an iphone 3GS - pairing not working. All other phones ive had in the last few years have not had a problem- including a 1st gen iphone.

As soon as it says "what name would you like to call this phone", i tell it a name, and then connection drops. The phone does not pair. Heeeelllp!!

I am having similar problems as Jonnie5 with my Nokia 6500 Slide. It works but sometimes D\C and somtimes hangs my phone with a "could open contents" error on the Nokia cell phone display screen. Turning Bluetooth off & on on the nokia seems to sometimes fix this problem that is if it is not totally hung ... a power recycle has to be done if the phone is that badly hung. I have deleted and repaired the phone several times but this problem keeps coming back again at some point.

We switched to the iPhone 3GS and I updated the software on the phone to v3.1.2 and the phone paired the 1st time I tried. The iPhone sounds very loud/clear over the speakers. The person calling does not hear the road noise as much compared to the old RAZR.

I could not get the iPhone to pair properly using v3.1 iPhone software. I did all the steps listed above with no luck. The phone would pair but it would not connect to send/rcv calls. The iPhone would go straight to voice mail like it was turned off.
