Question Lost iPod sound?

2013 TSX - everything stock. iPod was working fine until yesterday, when all of a sudden no sound. The iPod connects and I can navigate, etc. All other components (XM / radio / Bluetooth etc.) work fine.
Any thoughts before I head to the dealer?

Have you tried another USB cable? What type of iPod? What type of cable (apple or third party)? I've seen third party cables go bad and cause all kinds of issues, especially the lightning cables.

This may be a silly or obvious question but has to be asked - Does the iPod work and make sound independent of being hooked up in your car? IOW if you use headphones or connect to your home stereo equipment does it work properly and make sound??

Yes - the iPod works without being attached.
It is an iPod Nano with 30 pin connector using Apple cable.
I have not tried connecting a USB stick yet to see if that works.
It is just really strange - as I mentioned, I can navigate through the songs, see the song titles etc. but no sound. Has been working fine since I bought the car in January until 2 days ago.

Tried a different Apple cable - no change.
Plugged in a USB stick with some M4A and MP3 files, and it plays them just fine?

Yeah, its your iPod that has the issue... not the car.

Good luck!

Yup - I tried a different iPod (Classic) and it worked fine.
The iPod Nano was working fine outside the car, but something must have screwed up internally with audio linking. I figured out how to "reboot" the Nano and it is working now. Thanks everyone!

Yeah, sometimes the good 'ol hard reboot (hold center button and power button for a few seconds until ipod restarts) does the trick. Glad you got it figured out!
