Question DVD-ROM in trunk? 2010 TSX w/ tech

I was looking around the trunk of my car and saw two boxes bolted under the rear deck, in the trunk. The first was in the middle, pretty small box. The second was a large, black box that said DVD-ROM and had an open button. What is that considering there is a six-disk changer in the front. Is that for the Navi maps?

Thanks!

Yes. I will be doing it as soon as I get my car back. I was told that I would have to play it through a I-Pod. I wanted to get some track footage of my car and than play it through the Navi screen at car meets and events.

Boosted09TSX are you talking about hooking up any type of media player to either the Aux or USB ports? I would definitlely be interested in learning more about how!

Ooh, that would be cool, I figured there was a way but have no clue how to do it.

Then I could play movies for the kids on road trips. I guess there's also a way to hook up auxillary screens like on the headrests?

That is what I have been told by a couple of different people. It works kind of like adding a aftermarket sub and speakers to a factory deck. I am going to get my car the last week of the month so I should start working on something in November.

im pretty sure its alil different than your expecting it to be....

There is a product called Navtool which is a plug and play unit that plugs into the harness for the dvd rom in the trunk. It gives you an aux input for VIDEO only that will be toggled on and off by a switch. The audio feed would have to be done through a seperate unit or the aux input in the center console. This is the only way i know of doing it, if anyone else knows soemthing better please enlighten us.
