Bluetooth Drops Android

Hi Guys,

I have a Samsung S3 that won't stay paired to the HandsfreeLink for longer than a week or so. It is so annoying having to re-pair the phone every other week. Have anyone else experienced this issue and got it resolved?

I have '12 SE.

Thanks!

I have a nexus 4 and never had any issues. I would make sure you always leave your Bluetooth on in the phone settings and remove any other devices that are on your phones Bluetooth list just for troubleshooting.

Also, on newer androids, when you go to pair and access address book, make sure you do the always trust and or make trusted device and don't ask again.

Also, go under the settings and make sure in the phone all the settings for the hands free link profile reflect what I just mentioned.

If your still having issues after you have tried all that, maybe issue with Bluetooth unit.

Oh and delete any other phones. Click the phone button and say "phone set up" then after he/she starts talking again say "list". Any phone not yours delete. You can do this by saying delete again after you say phone set up. Say the name of the phone, how its recorded/named in the system.

And of course make sure you have the latest android version for your Samsung.Samsung phones have issues with new hands free link importing address book but not on the old systems that are in the TSX.

Hope this helps. Oh, BTW you have 4yr50k bumper to bumper warranty. Bluetooth unit if defective will be covered under that or your acura warranty.

That is all :-)

Thanks! My car does fall under the affected ones. Made an appointment to get the HFL unit replaced! I knew I wasn't crazy!
