bi amp front stage with factory amp?

I can get a super deal on some Rainbow components today and i want to install them tonight. Is it possible to utilize the power being sent to the rear doors to power the mids in the front door and then use the power from the front door to power the tweeters in the dash without an active crossover? Makes me wonder what to do with the passive crossovers.

I wish mercman still made his harness/balun available...has anyone used any of the audiocontrol solutions successfully?

That might work. I would assue the rear doors are only high-passed, and at a frequency much lower than you would ever want your tweeters to play.
Your going to need a crossover, so you could try to hook up the passive that was supplied with the set and only use the tweeter output.
What rainbow set did you get? In my experience they like a decent amount of power.

One the tech the front door and tweeter are feed from the same channel on the factory amp, There is a cap on the back of the tweeter for the cross over. To bi-amp, you would need to take the signal from the door speaker to feed the tweeter and mid bass via a 4 channel amp.

The 2nd gen “non-techs” or premium systems use the same setup as the first gens where you have an amp channel for each speaker including the tweeters. The xover is in the amp.
