I was wondering if it would actually work for the trajectory cause I did`nt see any other lines for the Trajectory beside the normal video feed cable.

 

Doesnt look like it is tied up with steering wheel angle. It scans surrounding and based on direction car is going it moves those lines. check out this video

I am also looking for a good backup camera currently. I bought one similar license plate light one in $12 from amazon. Quality wise it is ok but I already lost 3 LED bulbs in last night rain .

 

can't wait to get a backup cam too. It's the only thing I lost picking up a '13 tsx. I got spoiled with it

 

lol I also have 2013 TSX, I putting in a 8 inch touchscrren with back up cam next week.

 

Which camera you are planning to go with?

 

I got this one it was only 20 dollars and had good review, plus I got it the next day to amazon prime.

 

I also putting in the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX this week.

 

Nice. Cam looks good quality one. let us know how it goes. The one I bought took forever to come...more than a month anyways if you can post snaps of your DIY that would be great.

 

Can you post photos when you do? That is the exact head unit I have had my eye on. I've been watching youtube videos, checked it out at best buy, and my friend actually has the AVH-4000NEX (same exact as 4100 but is android capable). It looks very nice and as mentioned in my other posts, would be a great way to have the TSX be up to date tech wise with other cars.

 

Yea no problem I am doing it tomorrow as well as the steering wheel control and the backup cam. I tell u if I have any difficulties.
As for now here all the stuff I have gather for this project. I also included other build DIY guides that I am basing it of by. And the reason I got this model is cause of apple carplay and android auto.

I picked up an 09 tsx about a month ago and sold my subaru impreza which had a back up camera, i really miss the camera haha. For those of you who have a double din install, do you feel it looks funny having two screens?

The OP hasn't logged on in 2 months which sucks because he has the pioneer double din model I was looking into so it would have been nice to see it in action. I've researched some people with double din installs on here through the picture gallery and electronics forums. I am considering doing the same thing, but for now, my kenu airframe mount plus LED bright back up lights will be my solution. To answer your question, the 2 screens do not look that bad, it better than the double screen set up current acuras have which gets confusing. Plus, the top screen will only display climate controls after a double din install.


I financed my car and love it despite the aged tech and lighting to todays cars. My plan is to keep it for at least 5 years and upgrade then. I am trying to justify the $1,000 + install of a double din with back up camera and install fees.
