3000k HID Setup

So I purchased some 3000k HIDs for my fogs and went to install them.... Only to find out they don't give me a deeper yellow than my nokyas. Is it just the bulbs that I have or do people issuakky throw overlays on top of them. I'm worried about overlays burning. I like the brightness of HIDs but the color of my nokya

Please upload pics if you have a similar setup

I assume issuakky is usually?

If you have a 2011+ TSX, I think you'll have less of a chance of burning the overlays. The 09-10 TSX had a problem with extremely hot fogs.

Why would there be a difference? did they change the bulbs? mine are LED now anyways so it doesn't matter for mine lol.

can't recall entirely.. but I recall a lot of guys with lamin-x overlays on their 09-10 and they got melted onto the lens. But, 11+ never had that issue. I can't recall the actual problem... if it's not bulb-related, OP probably shouldn't get overlays if 09-10

maybe on the 11+ the bulb is farther back from the plastic cover. It definitely melted on my '10... the housing get's really really hot.

I'm Currently in an 09

But if the HIDs run that much cooler do you think laminix can withstand it

Okay now I have an issue with the lights not both turning on... Now only one of the lights turn on

I've turned em off and can turn them on after I let the car run first but they won't both cut on at the start of the car.... What should I do?

2011 here with yellow overlays and nokya bulbs. Been through 2 texas summers and haven't melted them. The fog covers do get pretty got though. If I'm sitting in traffic in the summer for long periods of time I'll turn them off because I get paranoid.

Well I have no problem with the light turning on if I turn them on after the low beams are already running but if they try to fire on with the lows one of the bulbs ussaually won't cut on

i have always heard people running HID fogs without relays...i have done it but always had trouble later on..i just spent the money on The Retrofit Source Inc on morimoto kit that comes with relays...time will tell. the difference with these and the Chinese kits i had in the past is the relay and the need to connect to battery power.
