Summer is Coming
I had a coupon mailed to me by Alpine for free shipping on a new disc. I wasn't planning on spending $185 for this disc so I think I threw it out! $99 is a pretty good price, best I can recall actually for a new disc.

I have a '09 TSX navi and although this sounds like a great deal, I am assuming I won't be able to tell any differences living in Portland, Oregon. I wish the TSX navi had road/street speed limits info like the newer portable GPS' do. What does "Display Traffic Speeds" do on Navi voice command? I don't see anything differences on the screen when I prompt this command. Anyone know?

the traffis speed this only works if oyu have the XM traffic turned on.
all it does is highlights different routes depending on the speed of traffic. Green, yellow, red. and its usually only the major highways.

tsxuser.....This is a little late, but the dealer referred me to the acuranavi.com site. They said that it would cost more than the regular price of $185. It wouldn't hurt them to stock a couple of discs even at regular price....People will pay for the convenience of not having to wait.

Burned Disc Won't Work
New disc works fine. I burned an exact copy of the disc onto a blank DL disc and the nav displays an error message when I try to use it.
I read online that pioneer/alpine has actually put a mod chip in some of its disc similar to one found in a PS2/PS3. I read somewhere else that it is difficult to make an EXACT copy of a DL disc because professional disc burners burn a DL disc in a slightly different way, even though all the data on it is the same.
Anybody get a burned copy of the 2011 White DVD to work?
Btw, I bought this for my 2009 acura for $115 (tax and shipping included) and it is totally not worth it. It still has several roads wrong that were changed over 2 years ago. Seems to work exactly the same as the old disc. I'll prolly end up selling the old disc for around 60 bucks on ebay.
