Wiper replacement.

Does everyone replace the whole arm or just the blades? I like the sleek look of the OEM arm but cant find refill blades at autozone anymore.

Is the stealership the only choice?

I had to take a 2nd look at the title and subsection.
I thought it was Nspec_ya4's thread talking about replacing his Viper(which he calls the Wiper)

Bosch Icons. Love mine. Been using them for at least a few years on various vehicles.

Yes, going from stock to Bosch was a huge improvement in wiping ability...

Try applying rain x to your windshield and sanding the very tip of your wipers to enhance the triangular point.

Charmin double ply only. Single ply, might as well just use newspaper. Toilet paper is like tires, never go cheap.

I think its 24" on the driver side and 22" on the passenger side. Someone else needs to confirm though, I can't remember for sure.

I put a coat of Blackfire crystal sealant on my windshield and 303 on my blades.
Does wonders.

You can easily replace just the rubbers (wiper rubber refills) in 15 minutes on both after spending roughly less than $10 for the OEM parts.
I think, 76632SHJA11 for right and 76622SLNA11 for the left.

I payed $9 for the rubber refills on eBay. Beats paying $30+ for replacement blades.

Same here. I really like the oem Honda wipers so I just replace the rubber refills.

I replaced mine 2 weeks ago with Bosch. They are great blades. Stopped at a reputable quick lube near Raleigh, NC and the guy replaced them in 3 minutes. The workers there admired my car. One guy owned a '94 Integra and jokingly asked me if I'd be interested in trading Acuras. (2010 TSX V6 Tech) I told him I would gladly trade if he'd add a substanial amount of cash to the Integra.

just go to the dealer, tell them you are there for the gangbang, they'll give you the rubbers and you'll be on your way

My Acura dealer gives free wiper blade replacements for the life of the car. I thought that deal was standard for all Acuras, but reading this thread says that ain't so! ???

My wiper blades suck, and have sucked since the car was new. I have been to 2 different dealers multiple times for this. The problem is the driver side leaves a streak right where the hinges are for the blade. New inserts do nothing. Finally today, they took a blade from another TSX and put it on mine, and the problem is still there, so now it is narrowed down to either the arm itself is bad, or I have a warped windshield.

After almost 3 years of this crap, they finally admit this is not normal, and I have an appointment to look at that problem. Jesus H. Christ for the money I paid for the TSX and the MDX, I could have save $20 grand and have the same problems.

This shouldn't be rocket science. It's obviously not the OE insert or the blade since those have been replaced, so that leaves only two other options. It could be the wiper arm itself (I just replaced the driver side one on my wife's 07 because it had started to miss an area even with new blades)(the part was +- $60), or the windshield (uncommon, but not unheard of). I'm not surprised that the dealer is reluctant to suggest either of these since neither are cheap to replace. I can't believe you let this go for 3 years; it must be pretty annoying. One other option (OK, so there are 3) would be to try aftermarket blades next. I can't speak for the 2nd gen car (the OE blades on my 010 work fine), but I have found that a few blades work better than others on the 1st gen cars, with some leaving all kinds of streaks and/or unwiped areas.

Yeah, it was only when I showed up with a filthy windshield that they admitted it wasn't right. I had just gotten new inserts a month before from them, so I finally cornered them. Prior to that they gave me the old "there is grease in you windshield", etc. I was waiting for them to tell me not to use Rain-X, and I would have gone ballistic, but the one advisor saw the problem and said it needed to be fixed. I am scheduled for the 26th.

Rain-x works the best. But you have to re-apply every couple of weeks during the raining season.

FWIW here's a tip, just the tip though, next time you are at a gas station go over to the little windshield squeegee bucket and grab a paper towel or two. Fold the paper towel up a couple times and dip the towel into the water. Then wipe down the rubber part of your wiper blades. You'd be surprised at how much crud comes off, continue until the paper towel no longer pulls off any black crud. Takes about three times. Generally that is all your wipers will need and you might be able to go another year.
