Windshield wiper blades/refills -insert vs. replace?

Hey all, I'm looking to replace my wiper blades, since they're streaking/skipping.

I know you're "supposed" to just refill the rubber insert part, and not the whole arm, like you'd do with most cars.

However, I have a pair of Rain-X Latitudes that are the right size, and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to put them on... replacing the whole arm part seems easier than just replacing the rubber parts, anyway! What do you think?

What have you guys done, and how did it work for you?

Thanks in advance

I just bought some Bosch microedge and threw the OEMs out. They work fantastic and don't chatter a bit. Just make sure you get the right size: 16" passenger, 26" driver.

Dude, they're just wiper blades...do whatever.

I just recently replaced the inserts. They work fine.

inserts all the way

OEM inserts are cheap and work great. I buy 5 sets online and replace them every spring and fall.

I replaced my OEMs with the Rain-X Latitudes, and they're f***ing awesome! I just replaced the whole arms--it was $49 I think for both at Pep Boys. They are really good at squeegeeing the water off completely.

I just changed mine out last month with OEM inserts. Little bit of a learning curve but once you figure it out it's not very hard. Also pretty cheap, I think the inserts were less than $5 apiece from an online Acura dealer.

The rear wiper was a pain for me, but you TSXers don't have to worry about that.

Does anyone notice that the washer fluid doesn't spray that high, and is a lot lower on the driver's side? My old '06 TSX sprayed a lot higher.

Just to be clear, these are the specs for the first gen TSX. The second gen uses a 24" driver and 20" passenger.
