tsx coupe!!

so I went to Marin Acura my local dealer today and one of the service managers gave me a sneak peak of future Acura plans and ideas. so he says that 2012 will be a major shift with the Acura lineup. AND most importantly, he showed me a concept of the tsx coupe! it had the actual name TSX coupe too. I'm going back again tm and am gonna try to snap a pic this time.

Do not believe anything until it materializes in real life.

Always take what salesman say with a grain of salt unless you know them. Most of them are full of sh** because it is their job, however I can see acura coming out with a coupe tsx. Most of its main competitors (BMW 3 series, audi a4/5, lexus is) have a 2dr version of their sedan. With the honda accord coupe in production, it makes economic sense to come out with the tsx coupe as well. I hope they do!

Well, that's how I feel too.

An Acura coupe (with V-6/6M powertrain) would be head and shoulders above what I've been considering to replace my Gen VII AV6 6M coupe down the line.

I'm saving my Navy Reserve bread: T-belt, W-pump, plugs et al (105,000 maintenance). Honda dealers are poles apart: (1) $900 and (2) $1600. Go figure.

Let's make the coupe happen, Acura..................

Aston TSX

This is old news: http://www.speedflux.com/honda-acura-coupe-in-2010/

Dont get your hopes up; Acura has been known to let consumers down

I cant imagine it being called the tsx coupe when it looks dramatically different then the sedan. RSX resurrection?

From the looks of it, it looks like a photoshop job of a Aston Martin V8 Vantage, with mods to the fender flares, and front fascia of the car.

I would not get my hopes up for a TSX coupe to look anything like this, if one is even being developed. As Luca_09 said "Always take what salesman say with a grain salt."

I agree that there is a need for a coupe within the Acura line-up. With no RSX or CL, the only vehicle keeping young buyers with Acura is the TSX. Honda's president admitted the company has become complacent, so hopefully the shake-up will include some Acura models as well.

They've been down the FWD coupe road before and it didn't end well. So unless its AWD they shouldn't bother.

And Colin has stated a few times that he's spoke with Acura reps who have no intention of repeating history with a CL like FWD coupe.

TSX coupe
TSX wagon
anddddd
a TSX convertible?

he didn't have any pics or anything but he said that it would likely come out 2012 or so. but I was just seeing if anybody would want to get a convertible TSX

The wagon is true. My dad just bought a 2010 TL a week ago and was talking shop with his salesman, who stated that the Wagon was only going to initially be offered in the i4. Apparently they want to "pilot" the wagon and see how it sells this fall, but quite honestly it would probably do better if offered in a V6.

As for the convertible and coupe, not too far fetched but I would imagine that it's at least 3 years out. Bear in mind that TSX is only 2nd gen at this point.

Cars are the equivalent of inflation: start with a good grassroots campaign and then jack up the price until the car eventually falls into another category. The Nissan Maxima is a classic example of this. Having owned a '95 and an '03 Maxima, the cars are remarkably different compared to the new gen Maximas (new gen Maximas are now full sized and cost nearly $10k more than they have in the past).

It's kind of sad really. Sometimes you just wish auto companies would leave a good thing alone.
