Exclamation Wheel Question

I noticed yesterday that my 2 front wheels has an inner plastic lining however the 2 back wheels does not. The back wheel has this tar base coating that not dried yet. Just picked up the car on thursday. When you touch the car it stains your hand a bit. Does everyone tsx have the 2 front lining but missing it from the back?

see pics

Pic 1 & 2 are the front with the lining

Pic 3 back wheel with a tar base coating

I have a 2010 TSX V6 and I just walked out to the garage to look at my wheel wells... They're exactly as you described yours. The fronts have plastic inner fenders, but the backs just have what kinda looks like undercoating on them. I didn't actually touch it, but it looked like it was wet or tar-like too.

Thats weird. Any reason why the back wheels would not have the plastic liner?

I have no idea. It's baffling to me. I originally thought maybe Japanese cars were just made that way, so I looked at my 2005 Honda Pilot -- nope, it's got plastic inner fenders on both front and rear.

All TSXs have the plastic liners in the front and the tar-like undercoating in the rear. Nothing to worry about, bro.

i think almost all cars are like that, in the rear is the regular underbody spray, the front has the plast covers that sort of protect the engine bay.

Most cars I believe are like that. Plastic liner in the frt, none in the rear. If you got your car undercoated from the dealer, that would be the black type like stuff. The factory sealer/undercoat when be dry to the touch.

It's not that they are missing - they were never supposed to be there.
