What were your first mods?

tints on my vortex blue. 20 on the rear windshield and back windows. 35 on the front windows. everyone thinks its perfect, and cops dont hassle me even though legal limit on the front in jersey is 70. also did full interior with LED's, plus license plate. just changed my fog lights to HID fogs. changing my low beams to 6000k asap. likely plastidipping the grill and possible rear next week. and maybe changing my high beam bulb soon. thats probably all i will do because its a lease. maybe make my own trunk lip spoiler.

35% tints all the way around (minus windshield) within the first few weeks as well.
About 2.5 years in, I did cargo hook holders in the trunk, OEM TSX All season floor mats, and the 2010 TL SH-AWD 6MT shift knob.
When I bought my TSX (New Year's Eve 2008), they threw in the trunk liner, mud flaps (or whatever you would call them), and wheel locks.

I moded my riide the day after I got it.
Day 1: Ordered OEM all-season floor mats.
Day 2: Full interior LED + License plate lights + Reverse lights
Day 3: 8000k HID lows
Day 4: 3000k HID fogs (would've had these installed the same day as my lows if I took off the bumper to get to the bulbs first instead of following the stupid manual)
Day 6: 35% tints all around and 50% WS
Day 7: Installed floor mats
Yeah I spoiled my car and did all this in 1 week lol and a few weeks after i got an intake and roof spoiler

My first and only mod so far were getting tints done after a month i bought my car
i have a friend who works with interior light bulbs in cars, so i might have him swap the lights to LCDs
And if money permits, i'm thinking about the Icebox intake

what are the benefits of the icebox intake?

Geez, if i could do all that crazy modding inside with LCD screens and what not, i'd probably be able to afford other mods eh? haha
And if you read this topic thread below, they'll mention like an increase of power for the low to mid-range RPMs, almost near-quiet running at the lower RPM band, a nice deep growl towards the high band and a gain in HP. i'm still mulling over the decision, but it looks pretty good from what the other AZers have said

Why not change up the interior lights to LEDs yourself? It's really easy. Order the bulbs yourself...you can find out what type you need from http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...placementGuide and then just ebay the bulbs and buy them or buy them as a set from ijdmtoy.com or another site. I went the cheap route and got all my bulbs from ebay.

can you post a picture of your 70% tint on front windows? I'm really interested to see how it looks and what brand you used.
#19
i'll post when i get off from work. basically, the car looks like the back is tinted. 70% on my front windows only makes the windows a very light shade darker. i wanted lighter tints because of the following reasons: Block UVA/UVB rays away from leather, reduce heat in car, will not affect driver visibility, a guarantee that i won't get pulled over by the cops.

i went here:

I live in San Francisco, though. The tints are made by Johnson films (as stated on the website). Since you're in SoCal, I'm sure there's plenty of people who can suggest you good window tinters for your car that won't screw the job up. Also, you may want to ask whoever your tinter is about tinting the rear window brake light. Some people skip out on that.
