Value of 2010 TSX?

Local fellow selling a 2010 4 cyl TSX with 165K on it. They are asking about 6K. KBB says its worth about $5700.

Any experts offer an opinion on what this car is worth? Or is asking price right on?

Owner claims garage kept, serviced regularly, etc.

What is mileage expectancy for this car? Any major issues I should ask about?

Thanks.

sounds about right. You can ALWAYS negotiate.

Modern cars are able to achieve astronomical miles; there ISNT an expectancy for miles...However; if the car wasn't well kept, then you'll have to replace or maintain the car.
It all depends on how the previous owner treated the car, which again, you can always negotiate.

Thanks. Any potential issues, perhaps common to this vehicle, that pop up at this mileage? This would be a kids first car potentially.

it depends on how well the previous owner took care of it.
mechanical things can break from wear, it's important to replace or repair the broken part as soon as possible.

the four cylinder acura is super stout! The engine will chug on pretty much for over 500,000 miles!!!
it's the other mechanical and electrical components that make up a car that go bad before that like; suspension, starters and alternators, brakes, etc.
one would need to inspect the individual car that you are looking at to see if components as a whole are good.
if previous owner telling the truth "Garage kept, repaired/replaced bad components on time" you have nothing to worry about.
However, if the car was neglected, you'll be in a worlds of trouble.

I have a 2010 tech and it's been a workhorse. Around 138K right now. Only issue is that after around 100K, they start to burn some oil. Right now I'm burning around a half a quart every 3000 miles..not big issue. I've heard others that burn more. You might want to check that out. Also the timing belt. I had my changed at 100K. It's an expensive job, but I did my preventively. I just had molding pop off my driver side A pillar, but that's because I had the driver's side doors repainted since I got hit. I'm sure it probably only needs a clip. I just pound it back in. It's been the most reliable car I've ever had. This is my third Acura, fourth Honda.

Good luck

I would ask to see all of the service records. I have been religiously keeping all of the service records since I purchased mine three and half years ago so I can use it show the buyer, when I sell it 4 years from now.

A good sanity check is Carfax Value. Simply enter the VIN and it will provide a value based on the vehicle history. You can go into the options to set the actual mileage and vehicle condition.

there is a recall on 09-11 tsx 4cyl up to 125k for oil consumption! I just purchased a 10 tsx with 115k on it and bringing it to Acura Monday for the oil consumption test plus airbag recall! I guess if it falls into the category for using too much oil they replace pistons & rings! Unless it’s too bad, then they replace the entire bottom end! Anyway like the guys said ask for service records! Or run the vin with a dealer! They will tell you if it’s been done or not

$6k doesn't sound bad. Are you able to afford a little bit more? You could get a much lower mileage one for around $10 - $11k.

I brought it in right when I noticed it burning oil. They did do an oil test and it was below the amount for any action. I'm at 144K and it seems to have got a little worse. But nothing major that I'm concerned about. I did my air bag recall also. Took all of 15 minutes.

The A pillar pulling back is also an issue on the 2010 (along with others)
