TSX Shopper

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a 09-12 TSX Tech and wanted to know what are some of the things I should look out for when shopping.

Also what appearance mods are available (pics would help) I know there is the oem, mugen, and type s(?) lower spoilers but I cant seem to find any pics of these items on the car (slow work computer).

Any help is appreciated in this matter.

I'd go OEM+ if I were you. Just something else different.

There should be a forum rule that no poster can post a question until they have spent some time actively reading and searching for answers.

That would reduce the number of nearly identical questions that are posted on a nearly daily basis.

Crackberry actually searches on the title of your post (before you can submit it) and identifies similar posts with similar subjects. You then need to dismiss the suggestion before you can submit your post.

The picture thread is a good one to get images, but we as posters need to be more diligent in identifying the parts we are showing off. The "look at my new wheels " doesn't help much if you don't identify the wheels. While old-timers might recognize the wheels, a newbie would be at a loss and be forced to ask a question - which is often ridiculed by said old-timers.

To the OP: You've asked the same question that is asked on a very regular basis. Please search and you'll find the answers.

Ceb- I believe there is an unspoken rule in that. I've spent a good amount of time on this forum (close to 6,000 posts) and I've searched throughout the 2nd gen TSX forum and haven't found much due to a slow work computer (see OP) and current lack of internet connection at home (cable company doing underground upgrades). However, I do realize this is noone's problem but my own.

Thank you for your posts. Someone should probably sticky common questions and answers for other people new to this side to be able to find useful information without a large amount of searching.

There are lots of cosmetic things out there but you need to narrow down your search first. The front bumper/grill changed in '11 and there is little out there for the front of the car with the '11+ front end.

Lip Kit. You have the jdm replica one? I did come across your LS460 tips thread but alot of the pics dont work. I'll have to go back and see how you made them work

Thanks ceb. When I was initially browsing I noticed the fronts changed. It appears I'll be picking up either a 2009 or 2010 TSX. I think I'm going to choose between the oem and jdm replica lip kits. Maybe paint match the front grill, CAI, RV6 downpipe, new tips, window visors, lower it slightly, get some 18" oem wheels, add a subwoofer and tint, and change the lights to leds. Hopefully I can keep my mod list to just those items to avoid breaking the bank I did more to the RL than I initally wanted to

I thought you were trying to be sarcastic when you first wrote that but after seeing your car I know what you meant now. I feel like an idiot

i had an 09 and used some of these parts from other manufacturers because there was barely any aftermarket support. i even went as far as creating my own DIY lip kit from scratch using fiberglass/bondo.

transferred majority of my parts when i picked up my 11'.

this is a type s replica from an 09. i modified the 09 type s front lip replica to fit the 11' front bumper.

Very nice! I am starting to like the bug deflector too. I'm really torn between the type s and oem lip kits. The price of the oem one is making it hard to justify the cost. I might see if the dealer can roll it into the price of the car discounted.

Just added switchbacks and the oem trunk spoiler to the mod wishlist. This is getting rough LOL

Don't mean to thread-jack or anything, but are those the OEM window visors? And which rear window visor is that?
