Trailer wiring for wagon same as sedan?
Is this a safe assumption? I know the hitch is different and clearly classified on etrailer but when looking for a factory t connector it says they are for a sedan and the wagon is a wire your self product.
Is there any reason why the connectors on the sedan would be different from the wagon?
In case it is eventually asked, I just sold our first gen tsx and now the wagon needs to take over kart towing duties. Kart and trailer combine can't be more then 400lbs tops.

for anyone who ends up here, i did more digging and the wagon does not share the same part number for the sockets as the sedan. One of the plugs are the same as a cross tour and 3 are the same as a civic.
The crosstour is a single convenient plug (same as RDX) and the civic is plugs that go to each socket. I I cam get free returns with amazon prime i might just buy a few and see which works, i really dont want to be splicing in to factory wiring.

As far as i know, and why i am asking, no one lists a PNP trailer harness for the wagon. All are listed as sedan and when searching for wagon ones the only that return are universal fit splice ones.
I called kurt and they confirmed that they do not show part number cross compatibility between the sedan and wagon. I understand that the wagons are relatively few compared to the sedan so they may just have never tried to fit one, but they currently show a part number for a splice harness.
So here is the dilemma, I cant reasonably think that Honda would use different wiring harness plugs on the wagon then the sedan, it just doesnt make sense for manufacturing.
If someone could take pictures of the plugs going to their tail lights i could just compare it to mine.

My search has ended up the same. I haven't found a t-connector style wiring harness for the wagon, and it doesn't help that the rear lights are accessed EXTERNALLY as opposed to inside the trunk, as they are on the sedan. I haven't bothered to take the lights off to see if there is an auxiliary connector for the trailer kit, but i'm not counting on it. Leaves me with limited options, as i don't particularly want to use a universal kit that requires splicing and running wires directly to the battery. Maybe i'll get around to it someday, but i haven't yet.

So i havent gotten around to this as i havent had any time this summer to get to the track with the Kart anyway.
My temporay solution would be to run a dummy cabble out of the hatch and claim mechanical failure if someone ever notice that my trailer blinkers didnt come on with my car blinkers.
Before the safety police get involved, its a harbor freight trailer ONLY used during the day and the lights are laughable anyway.
