Traction control randomly came on/off

I was at a complete stop and when I started to accelerate, my traction control light flashed about 2 or 3 times and it felt like the car was hesitantly jerking forward. There was no bad weather or rain and I wasn't flooring it. It didn't replicate later on, just one incident and lasted about 3-5 seconds, but it freaked me out because it felt like the steering had to be held straight firmly or the car would have went into another lane.

I read it might be a bad wheel sensor kicking in the ABS system since it was at low speed. Anyone have this happen before or have other recommendations on what to check? Luckily it was at a low speed and nothing faster otherwise it seems dangerous.
