Please persuade me that Im going to regret this decision.
Thanks in advance.

I've always liked the new TL, with the awd setup.
However, I always play the cards that I'm dealt.

If you like the TL, get it.

Wait...our cars got old tech. TLX will be up to par with the competition...at least we hope.
I wish I could take the financial hit to step up....if your able to wait.

Well considering the fact that the TLX hasn't been released yet..!! There's no way anyone could really tell you the benefits of getting the TLX over the TL..!! Besides your a big boy right..!? Put on your big boy pants and decide for yourself.! No-one knows what you like more then you.!

RCDJ....I agree with others that you will likely take a bath on your TSX but the TL is a nice ride and the SH-AWD is amazing. That being said, the new TLX will bring new technology but that is not necessarily a good thing. Technology can cause some headaches and some people are having problems with the dual screen on the MDX/RLX so before getting overly excited about the tech of the TLX, think about really matters to you....fun to drive or technology with potential problems.
I was quite determined to get the TLX but the more I look at my TL, the more I am starting to think that it may be a better idea to keep it. Its so fun to drive and the interior looks so sexy and likely, sexier than what the TLX will be. Many people disliked the 4G when it came out but the more I look at it, the more I appreciate its uniqueness.

Whenever I get the new car bug I ask mysel these questions?
What don't I like about my car?
What would the new car give me that I don't have now?
Do I "need" a new car or do I "want" a new car?
How much of a financial hit will I take on my old car? Is it worth it?
I've traded cars that I now regret because it was done more on a whim than after careful thought, but I've also taken a significant financial hit that was "worth it."
I sold a 2008 R32 because I hated the dealer and got no joy from VW over a minor incident. That was a mistake I think about whenever I see an R32 (not very often). I did well on the sale.
I traded my 335 for the TSX and took a huge financial hit. While I loved the BMW when it ran, 4 high pressure fuel pumps in 30k miles, combined with a company that has been aware of the problem for years but declined to do anything about it, made the trade more than acceptable.
Do I like my TSX? When my last TSX (with 27k miles) was nearly totaled last year, I turned right around and traded it for a new one. I took a financial hit but I'll eventually get part of it back from the other guy's insurance.
