a few corrections; it's only typical because of the sun. the sun's harmful UV rays ate through the clear coat...you cant catch it "in time"....it has to be protected from the sun at all times to prevent it...by keeping the car out of the sun and having a wax/sealant/ceramic coating on it.
wrapping would be putting a bandaid over it and calling it good.
to do the repair correctly, it needs to be sanded down and then resprayed with a clear coat.
You should nave been using Meguiar 20 or 21 from the day you bought the vehicle. Minimum twice a year with these products. There are other good brands you can find here > https://www.autogeek.net/
It is too late to use the twice a year method in your case. The sun has already damaged the clear. Best to have it re cleared by a reputable shop. Start here https://owners.acura.com/collision/

For my other vehicles I want to do 20 or 21. What is the difference between them?

Both are awesome products, I've used them both. The #21 is synthetic and does not leaves a white residue. You will need to mask off all back trims from both . Start in the order below
Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner
Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish Step 2
Step 3 use either Meguiars #20 or #21
Step 4 Meguiar's Deep Crystal wax or Meguiar's 26 Mirror Glaze Hi-tech Yellow wax. "I prefer the yellow wax"
The Meguiar products in the beige bottles are their professional line.
Everything I listed here are things I used on my personal vehicles. I also use the Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Car Wax & Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.

.
thank you kindly for taking the time
i had thought 20/21 sealant was final step, but looks like you recommended a wax after that
You really only need to do the 4 step method twice a year! Then try to wax once per month or at minimum once every other month. Use the touch up items after each weekly washes. The 4 step method will take up a day or more, especially if you have to do any claying. Naturally claying would be the very first step after washing, followed by the other 4.
My TSX is parked outside full time since March 2017. Thankfully I've been doing the 4 step since new. The cars is still as shiny as day one, no oxidation! Unfortunately the Georgia heat has been unkind to my interior door panel soft perforated area.

I printed your recommendation out, and have ordered all the products
You are welcome! Outside of ceramic coating, don't waste your money any super expensive car care products. The returns on the cost of some of those products are simply not worth it. Trust me I know! I'll make one more recommendation if you don't already have one > https://www.autogeek.net/porter-cable-7424-kit.html You will used less of your care care product with this machine.

2012wagon, can I assume your vehicle is a 2012? If so, there is no excuse on Acura’s part, for this to happen. Needing to keep a car out of the sun is ludicrous. I swore off Honda’s after my 2008 civic did the same thing, and it was a well maintained car. Test drove a 2020 RDX and somehow found myself back in a Honda vehicle - hope I don’t have this issue in the future! Honda extended the paint warrantee on my civic, but when I finally brought it in to the dealer, I was one month past the warrantee, and they did nothing. My son now has the car and, while it runs well, it looks like crap.
The 2012 Hyundai I just traded in never saw a garage in its life. I was it it maybe twice a year, and when I traded it it, looked perfect. No reason why Acura/Honda can’t do that.

yes mine is a 2012
our 96 accord ex and our 87 civic wagovan and my 92 integra gsr all did the same thing. Since 2012 I have moved to Lexus/Toyota, and dont have any and will not own any more honda products. I like the wagon - so it stays .
I just got a TSX 2010 about 2 weeks ago. Your oxidation looks like the roof of my car. evo9: Would you all suggest the same products and procedures you listed below?
Yes I would! But please keeping in mind, once the clear coat is damage there is not much can be done. These products I recommend are excellent preventing this kind of a damage. I will recommend Scholl Concepts S3 Gold XXL to remove the oxidation > https://www.carpro-us.com/compounds/...old-xxl-16-oz/

Well, since now I know my car has OXIDATION on the roof and as you say there is not much I can do, would you suggest re-coat it? Or what can I do so it doesn't spead anymore?
I should add if the oxidation is light. Use the scholls concept to remove the oxidation. If the paint color does not stain the buffer pad when you remove the oxidation. You are in luck! That means there is still a layer of clear present. If this is the case proceed with the products I recommended. But you will need to wax the car as frequently as possible to protect what is left of the clear coat. If paint color does stain the buffer pad, it mean the clear cost is damaged.
evo: What kind of buffer pad would you suggest? Cross your fingers the paint color doesn't stain. What can I do if the clear coat is damaged? Am I sh*t of luck?

Start with an orange pad https://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-ccs-6pack.html > If the clear is completely damaged, you will need to seek out a body shop. **** I'm unable the answer your private message. Due to your in box being full. You need to delete some, also your sent message box.***
