Side Mirror Trick

I totally found this out this morning by accident but if you keep the mirror adjustment switch to "R" position and you put the car in reverse, the right side mirror will tilt down so you can see more towards the ground. Helps a lot if you are parallel parking. (i got 19s so i usually park a lot farther away from the curve than i should but now i dont have to worry too much and park a lil bit closer haha.

But this only worked with the Right side and not Left.

not sure if this works with all models but i have 09 with tech package.

Sorry if you already knew but i though this was pretty cool.

yup, a very handy feature for us City dwellers. Wouldn't mind the left side mirror doing the same, but ...

The switch you use to select which side mirror you want to adjust is labeled "L" and "R" for left and right.

I never heard of this before... Is this only for the 09+ models (CU2)? or is this feature also on the 04-08 models (CL9)?

Also, out of curiosity, does the side mirrors go back to your default setting once its out of reverse or "R"?

Yes, it only tilts down when in R and then goes back to the original position once out of R.

On a side note - my TSX used to do this, and I thought I broke something when it stopped doing it. Looks like I just have to flip the switch to the R position.

But wait, does this feature exist only on the 09+ models? Or does the 04-08 have it also? I haven't tried it on my 08 yet, because I don't want to go outside, its pretty cold this year in Cali. It was 48 degrees last night in LA, which I don't think I ever seen LA go below 50 before. I heard in the SF Bay Area it was 41 degrees...

It is a 2G TSX feature only. TLs have had the tilt feature on both mirror since '04, and one mirror (right) from '99

Alright, thanks for the information. Yeah, I knew about the TLs already, but the TSX having it was interesting information.
