Reset the Average Speed on MID?

According the User Manual, this can be done by press and hold the SEL/RESET button until the number reset to 0.0.
Have anyone successfully done it? or having problem doing so?
I've tried to reset (by press and hold) the button. Mine shown steadily 30 mph since the day I got, I want to reset it but couldn't do it, no matter how long I press/hold the button, it wouldn't reset to 0.0

i thought it resets every time you turn the car on ~_~?

maybe you have been driving at exactly 30 mph since the day you got it?

That would be amazing keeping 7K miles straight at 30 mph
Anyway, nope, it's there, not reset every time I turn it on.
Anyone else?

It should be the average of what we've traveled.
The question is, according to its Owner Manual, it can be reset, does anyone of us successfully doing so?

i think u can so that it resets everytime you turn the car on, or just have it stays on, or everytime u refill gas, or something like that haha

and to op, i reset mine back then when i receive the car from my mom. works fine by just holding on to it

edit: i remember i reset the mpg, which reset the average speed.

Thanks all,
So I guess there is a little difference then.
What I did was going back to the METER settings and turn the Reset trip A when refuel" ON. Doing it, it does indeed reset the trip A odometer, trip A average MPG and surprisingly, also reset trip A average speed.
