Quick Question about lights on "ON" position dashboard

quick question about the on(ii) position. It says in the manual, on page 392, that if the VSA indicator does not come on when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, there may be a problem with the VSA system. The VSA symbol flashes when it's on the II position for a second or two then disappears. Is that normal or is it suppose to remain on the dashboard? I'm asking this because the VSA activation indicator came on today after i drove by some sand. It turned off when I restarted the engine. Thanks guys

It comes on for few seconds then goes away in normal operation.
By any chance you accidentally hit the VSA button down below, right about your left knee?
